Discover Amedee Island and its magical coral-fringed lagoon, just 45 minutes by water taxi from Noumea. Located in the heart of a protected marine reserve near the barrier reef, the island is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and exceptional marine life. You can visit its 56-meter-high lighthouse, the only metal lighthouse in France, and climb it with a pass (300 XPF per person) and is subject to opening days managed independently. The transfer to the island is by inflatable boat and can be quite bumpy. Snorkeling is self-guided, with safety instructions provided by the skipper.

Let's first stop at the Mont Dore fountain, then we cross the mountain range to reach the east coast and the village of Yaté (possible stop at the Blue River Park). We then cross the coast to the south with a stop at Gîte Yia and then in the village of Touaourou and its pretty colonial church, another stop near the village of Goro towards an incredible waterfall. On the way back we will stop at the Madeleine Falls for a photo and maybe a swim before returning to Noumea.
