Top McLaren Vale Day Trips

Our pedal assist electric bikes give you the opportunity to explore the network of bike trails within the McLaren Vale wine region and along the stunning Fleurieu Coastal esplanades. We have a range of eBikes including step-through cruisers, mountain bikes, cargo bikes, trikes, and tuktuks, with options for children and people with mobility limitations. We provide maps and can help you customise your itinerary, with lots of great suggestions such as routes for art lovers, or families with children, or wine connoisseurs, or those who like challenging themselves on the hills.... The region is blessed with more than 70 boutique cellar doors, gin distilleries and micro breweries to drop in on along the way, as well as award winning restaurants, country style bakeries, and seaside cafes. Enjoy the local wildlife and birds as you silently cruise past. There is something for everyone in McLaren Vale.

Indulge in your own private tour of McLaren Vale, discovering some of the best wines and relaxing locations in the region. Led by your expert wine-guide, explore this Mediterranean climate region known for Shiraz but packed full of easy-drinking reds and whites suitable for most palates. Your day includes time to explore the famous d'Arenberg Cube and visits to two more boutique wineries, along with a feed-me style lunch with drinks at The Salopian - one of the state's most popular restaurants. We can tailor this experience to visit other wineries you'd prefer - just get in touch with us and let us know!

Drive McLaren Vale yourself, with a GPS audio guide that plays automatically as you go. Your booking unlocks the whole region in the free Wine Trails app: pick your date and starting point — McLaren Vale Township, Willunga, the coast, or straight from Adelaide — choose the cellar doors you want, and the app builds your personal route with turn-by-turn narration. 116 narrated stories cover 78 cellar doors and the people behind them: as you pass Kay Brothers at Amery you'll hear how Herbert and Frederick Kay planted Block Six Shiraz into sandy loam in 1892 — and those same vines are still cropping today. No group, no schedule, no guide — pause for a long lunch, double back, replay anything, and the audio keeps working when the signal drops, so Blewitt Springs' patchy coverage never matters. You'll need a car and a designated driver; tastings are booked and paid directly with the wineries.
