Guided tours of the Presidential Palace in Vilnius last one hour. However, if you’re coming to watch the flag-raising ceremony on Sundays or just to admire the building’s exterior, five minutes is usually all that you need—walking tours typically stop about this long to explain what the palace is and its significance.

It depends. The palace is worth visiting if you’re taking the guided tour, as you get to see the rooms used for official government purposes. It’s also worth stopping outside if you’re on a tour, as the guide will explain a bit about it. However, walking by on your own is only worth it if you’re already nearby or passing by, as it’s just another building without context.

Yes, the Presidential Palace holds a flag ceremony out the front of the building every Sunday at 12pm. This short ceremony involves the raising of the flag by guards in both their ceremonial uniforms and in recreations of the medieval uniforms worn by the guards at the Palace of the Grand Dukes.
