The driver and his son picked us up at our resort and took us to 6 or so bars/restaurants around Negril. At each spot, he told us what to look for or what made the stop special. You could just have a drink, or you could strike up a convo with some local folk - sometimes they were characters. No matter what, the point is to get a little local vibe and support the economy outside the resorts. In that vein, if you take this trip, be sure to bring cash because most bars don’t take credit cards. Also a good idea to make it small bills so you can spread the wealth beyond just buying a drink! Highly recommend.

We booked this tour the night before because we were only in Jamaica for the weekend and wanted to make the most of our time. It was my husband's first visit to Kingston, and I couldn't have chosen a better experience. As it turned out, it was just the two of us on the tour. Marie and Donovan were absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Their knowledge of Kingston, flexibility, and genuine warmth made us feel less like tourists and more like old friends. The tour itself was outstanding. We enjoyed the Bob Marley Museum, Devon House, and the rich history, culture, and art that make Kingston so unique. Every stop added another layer to our appreciation of the city. What made this experience especially meaningful for me was that I left Jamaica more than 40 years ago. Along the way, Marie and Donovan drove through some of the neighborhoods where I grew up. It brought back so many memories, and it was incredibly special to share that part of my life with my husband and allow him to see where my story began. Because of a cancellation later in the day, Marie and Donovan were able to extend our tour into the evening and customize the remainder of our experience. That unexpected bonus took us to Port Royal, where we toured Fort Charles and the famous Giddy House. The history was fascinating, but the real highlight was dining at Gloria's. The seafood was amazing, and the views across the harbor were absolutely breathtaking. By the end of the day, Marie and Donovan felt like family. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience and created a day that neither of us will ever forget. Whether it's your first visit to Jamaica or you're returning home after decades away, I highly recommend this tour. This tour was absolutely amazing! It was incredibly informative, well organized, and so much fun from start to finish. We got to explore many parts of the island, and while each stop was timed, we never felt rushed. One of my favorite parts was visiting the local market. We had the opportunity to sample several local foods and shop for souvenirs and other items. The vendors were welcoming, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Lunch was another highlight. We got to prepare our own meal while learning how locals cook, the ingredients they commonly use, and the traditions behind the food. It was such a unique and interactive experience. Overall, this tour exceeded my expectations and is a must-do if you're visiting the island. I highly recommend it for friends, families, or anyone looking to experience the local culture in a fun and memorable way!
