As a photographer and Tour Guide based in Hermanus for approximately 20 years, I am passionate about the Whales, Birds & Nature. There are seabirds, shorebirds, coastal scrub birds, water birds and mountain fynbos to experience within the Overberg. You don't need to be an avid birder, beginners & nature lovers are left thoroughly impressed by the splendour of our area, and I often have guests return for a second tour because there is simply too much to take in all in one trip. I look forward to meeting you, sharing stories and finding those birds you're searching for.

As an extra perk, the trip also includes a visit to The Whale House Museum.

Join me atop the ancient cliffs and embark on a 2 hour sensory voyage along the cliffs of Hermanus and hear the stories of how man came to live and thrive here, from stone age (cradle of consciousness) through the colonial times to modern day living. Trace the footsteps of early minds—where art, language, and medicine were born—and feel the echoes of the past come alive.

Gansbaai is known as the great white shark capital of the world and is only a two-and-a-half hour scenic drive from Cape Town. It is here that we will make your dreams come true! The experienced crew will share their vast knowledge of the water world where they operate when they take you to view sharks from the surface or underwater from a cage. This marine wonderland is the closest place in the world where you can safely see these apex predators in their natural environment. Great White shark behaviour has been unpredictable since Orca predation in 2017. We work with various shark species, including Bronze Whaler and sevengill sharks.

A 3-night, 4-day hiking escape created especially for people who want to travel and hike with their dogs. Explore the Hermanus coastline and mountain trails on professionally guided hikes, then return each day to comfortable, fully fenced dog-friendly accommodation. Breakfasts and dinners are prepared for the group by a private chef, while small group numbers keep the experience personal and relaxed. The difference is simple: your dog is not an add-on — your dog is part of the experience. Hike together, explore together and enjoy a multi-day getaway designed around both people and their canine companions. Please note: A minimum of 6 paying guests is required for this Canine Camino to operate. Solo travellers, couples and smaller parties are welcome to book and will join the scheduled departure group.
