What are people saying about Girona

We were 8 in a van....
We were 8 in a van. Stephen was our guide and was very pleasant and informative.
Besalu and Rupit were the most interesting villages. Besalu was more touristy. Sant Père church is gorgeous. Wish we’d had a bit more time there.
Rupit is beautiful and there are several short hikes to a waterfall, a hermitage and an overlook.
The 3rd village has a nice Romanesque church and a panoramic view but not much else.
The drive goes though some beautiful countryside with some sensational overlooks.
You do spend a lot of time driving so might be challenging for parents with active little ones.

Exceptional Experience
The driver was extremely nice and accommodating. The pilot was exceptionally safe and the ground crew was kind and informative.
If you’re going to take a balloon ride, this is an absolutely fantastic experience. We landed so smooth you would not even know we had touched the ground!!!

Amazing visit!
We came up to Girona for this tour from a vacation on Costa Brava- and it was absolutely worth the trip. Our guide Gerard was engaging, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all things Game of Thrones- and also the local history, architecture and culture. Highly recommend!

Thank you Dylan!
Dylan did a fantastic job giving the tour and explaining important stories and information about Girona history. He was so personable and fun and helpful, made our experience in Girona wonderful. He also took the extra steps to recommend other local sites and local culture. Thank you Dylan!

10/10 tour, perfect for a day trip
Jordi was truly best your guide I’ve had. He’s a Girona local and extremely knowledgeable about everything we wanted to know. The tour was perfectly balanced between explaining local legends in the larger (true) historical context, larger relationships and history of Spain and Catalonia. He was happy to tangent off into topics our small group found interesting and the tour ended with a perfect sampling of local ratafia & pastry. Absolutely made our 1 day trip to Girona fabulous!

When in Girona…A must do tour!!
This was a fantastic tour!! My friend and I loved it. Dylan was an amazing tour guide and more. He really shared his deep knowledge of Girona, his compassion for the Jewish people from their arrival in Girona, their expulsion from Girona, and their many contributions to Girona. He is passionate and caring in his approach to sharing all of this information. He also gave us a long list of restaurants to go to for lunch after the tour. He went above and beyond and we really learned so much that we never would have known if we had tried to do it on our own. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to understand the deep history of Girona and its people.

Interesting Coastline
The experience was great. If you are planning to stay for lunch in Cadaqués then I suggest you book the later boat back to Roses. If you are staying in the Santa Margarita area of Roses the walk to that boat stop is shorter to the boat. Very pretty village on the Costa Brava.
