What are people saying about Galway

One of the best!
Ilt is an excellent tour, wonderful scenery, beautiful buildings, AND we were lucky with the weather. Very pleased with the welcome we received and the punctual departure. Last but not least, Mike, our driver/guide greatly enhanced our journey with just the right amount of information, given with warmth and humour.

Beautiful abbey
I mainly booked this trip to go to the national park, but chose the abbey since it was incredibly cloudy. Of course it cleared up while at the abbey. That was a little disappointing. Having to make a decision between two great places can be stressful. I wish they could skip all of the small stops and just stick with the abbey and the NP. But all in all the abbey was absolutely gorgeous and had a beautiful history/story behind it. The bus we took was very tight. The men next to me kept falling asleep on me. As a solo female traveler that was a little uncomfortable. The tour guide Mike was very informative and nice.

Amazing!!!
This was a 10/10 experience! Love that it is a local family business I was supporting. Our guide Phil was amazing and kept things fun and lively. I always felt safe and I was quite impressed with his driving skills. I would book the same exact tour again in the future…seeing the cliffs from the water was an absolute highlight!!!!

Beautiful day, gorgeous views
Really nice trip to the cliffs. Awesome pub stop en route with best seafood chowder we ever had. Bacon (ham) and cabbbage was just like mom used to make. The cliffs are a good hike so be prepared. The tour was well run and organized. We had several stops which helped for the long ride.

Cliffs of Moher adventure
Be prepared to take a ferry over to Aran Islands, then get back on to see the Cliffs and then back to Doolin. A lot of water and very choppy. Come prepared both for ferry to cancel and for possible motion sickness. It is a long day but the view is SO worth it! Pavel was funny and very knowledgeable. He really can navigate those tight windy roads.

Excellent tour!
Mike was a great tour guide and an excellent bus driver - driving a large bus on some of those very small roads is no small feat! He was personable and engaging and knew quite a lot about the area, even sharing a few personal stories about his family. He had great recommendations for how to get the most of our the tour - we really appreciated the insights, especially at Kylemore Abbey. I'd highly recommend this tour!

Seamus was a great tour...
Seamus was a great tour guide, giving lots of historical background as well as plenty of personal anecdotes as we travelled between stops during the tour through Connemara. While there was a schedule, the tour didn't feel particularly rushed, so we were able to take in each stop at a reasonable pace. Definitely would recommend!

Five stars: Connemara, Kylemore Abbey and the Wild Atlantic Way made for a wonderful day from Galway
Five stars: Connemara, Kylemore Abbey and the Wild Atlantic Way made for a wonderful day from Galway
We had a terrific experience on the Connemara, Kylemore Abbey and Wild Atlantic Way tour from Galway on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Our tour guide and mini-coach driver, Mike, did a great job from start to finish.
Mike had the right balance of narration, local stories, humor, photo stops and coffee stops before and after the featured attractions. He also navigated the narrow roads like a pro, which made the long day feel easy and enjoyable. The mini-motor coach was first class and very comfortable.
We opted for Kylemore Abbey rather than Connemara National Park, and three hours was the perfect amount of time. We were able to visit the gardens, then the abbey, and then the chapel without feeling rushed. Kylemore Abbey was a surprise and delight.
While this is a long day, the scenery, sightseeing, stops and Mike’s narration made it very enjoyable. The weather was also great for our tour, which made the Wild Atlantic Way and Connemara landscapes even more memorable.
One note, similar to what a previous reviewer mentioned: the tour name might be clearer as “Connemara or Kylemore Abbey and Wild Atlantic Way tour from Galway” so travelers understand that the main stop is a choice between Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey, not both.
Overall, five stars. A beautiful, well-run day trip from Galway.

Five stars: spectacular cliffs, perfect weather, and an easy day from Galway
Five stars: spectacular cliffs, perfect weather, and an easy day from Galway
We took this Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher day cruise on 9 May 2026 and had perfect weather, which made the experience even more memorable. Blue sky, bright sun, and enough breeze to remind us we were off the west coast of Ireland.
The ferry ride itself was a highlight. The boat made a relatively close, slow pass by the Cliffs of Moher, giving us plenty of time to take photos and really appreciate the scale of the cliffs from the water. It was awesome and did not feel rushed.
On Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands, there were plenty of sightseeing options. We chose to walk to the Black Fort and back, and we were so glad we did. The Black Fort felt like a hidden gem, with dramatic ocean views and an unforgettable landscape of limestone rock.
On the way back, we still had time for lunch at Bayview Restaurant and sweater shopping at Aran Sweater Market, which made the island visit feel relaxed instead of hurried.
This was a terrific full-day experience from Galway: scenic, well-paced, and especially memorable if you get lucky with the weather.

Appreciated the small...
Appreciated the small group feel & Kenny was a great guide and story teller. Great locations for photography. Highly recommend for those looking for seaside views to see the cliffs & absorb the grandness of the sculpted erosion over time. Inisheer lunch was good too, got a good amount of steps in to break up the ride.

The Cliffs of Moher with a Surprise Chocolate Stop
We had a great day with Alan. The main objective was the Cliffs of Moher and traveling along the Wild Atlantic Way with castles and lots of scenery. So… the weather wasn’t ideal but Alan knew how to make the best of it! We made a surprise detour and stopped by the Hazel Mountain Chocolate Factory. This is an absolute must see. A personalized tour and tasting with all-natural ingredients. Incredible. The Cliffs of Moher were awe-inspiring. The weather was rough and so was the North Atlantic. Something to experience for sure!

Bus left on time and got...
Bus left on time and got us safely and quickly to the Cliffs. We traveled with our toddler and were able to install her car seat easily on the bus—the driver, Mike, was so welcoming and helpful.
We had two hours at the Cliffs which was the perfect amount of time for photos, exploring, and a trip to the gift shop. Highly recommended!
