Top Galway Walking Tours

Our family of three had a wonderful time. The ferry to the Aran Islands and horse carriage tour from the locals was such a special experience. We were lucky enough to have wonderful weather and clearly see the Cliffs of Mohr! Our tour guide Patty and driver, Brendan, made the experience easy and fun!

This is a great tour to get your bearings in Galway. Sean was great - engaging, informative, and fun. Also, he provided some recommendations for food/drinks as we walked around. It was well paced but covered a lot in just over an hour. We had a small group of only three of us which was wonderful! Would recommend!

Phil provided us with an amazing, unique hike to experience the Cliffs of Moher. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared wonderful stories and educated us the history of the Cliffs and The Great Hunger. His enthusiasm made our time very enjoyable and we appreciated his efforts to make sure we obtained the best views and photos. Highly recommend this hike and Phil.

This was a great take on a tasting tour! It was Irish enough to check the box, but different enough that I didn’t feel anything was repetitive (ex. we didn’t have fish and chips or Guinness, which in my opinion was great since anyone coming to Ireland would have had that already). Our guide Nina was very kind and knowledgeable, and we had ample time at each stop to enjoy our food and chat.

This was one of the highlights of my trip to Ireland. Connemara, Cong and Kylemore Abbey were all breathtaking, but what truly made the experience exceptional was our guide and chauffeur. He was a genuine local with an incredible knowledge of Irish history, culture and everyday life. He answered every question thoughtfully and spoke with honesty, humour and obvious pride in his country. One of the best moments of the day was something many guides probably wouldn’t think to do. Instead of keeping us on the bus, he let us walk through one of the most beautiful stretches of Connemara while he drove ahead and waited for us. That walk was pure magic. It felt like stepping into every dream and every film I had ever imagined about Ireland, with mountains, stone walls, sheep and endless green landscapes all around us. It gave us time to slow down and truly experience the place instead of just looking at it through a bus window. This wasn’t just sightseeing. It felt like an introduction to the real Ireland. If you’re deciding between tours, choose this one. It was unforgettable.

We opted for the e-bike tour of Galway to stay away from museum and castle tours and to get a taste of what the people of Galway do for recreation. Felix was a great tour guide and kept us entertained with his stories about the history of Galway and its residents. The weather was grand as they say in Ireland. Strongly recommend this tour.

This is a taste of traditional and modern Galway. Danny, our guide introduced us first to the new coffee culture and amazing bakeries before taking us to a more traditional taste of Galway with a focus on fresh produce, fish, and more. The real treat was learning how new Galway chefs are taking fresh and local ingredients and creating exciting bites for locals and tourists alike. Danny weaved food culture together with the history of Galway. One important recommendation: take this tour at the beginning of your trip as you will want to go back and revisit some of the places or eat at the many recommendations provided by the tour.

Seán was great! He did a good job of getting people involved and was able to answer our questions. It was fun and interactive. A good mix of history and stories about pagan folklore/ ghosts/ etc. For anyone worried about the amount of walking, it’s an easy walk and pace. It’s a quick tour but a very easy and relaxed one.
