Amazing trip and great host - Malcom
He did the trip with Cheeky Kea travel on 22-Sep-26 and had an amazing time. The trip was well planned, the host (Malcom) was absolutely amazing and shared great details throughout the trip. He took every possible effort to make the trip for us memorable. He even went out of the way to make it enjoyable for us. The lunch was great and we enjoyed the specialties of Fairlie bakery.

Great trainrdie
Train ride was great. Beautiful scenery with spectacular views and very smooth. Unfortunately when we got to Arthur’s pass it was raining. The tour guide improvised and drove us to some nice waterfalls. Obviously a nice hike to the waterfalls would have been better but we made the most ofnit

Great day with Grant
Had such a great day going to Tekapo and Mt. Cook. I was worried about the weather and the drive time when I checked but it turned out to be a beautiful day and well worth the drive. Grant was a great tour guide and knew so much about the geography and history of everything we were passing and had the answers to every question that was asked. I would definitely recommend this tour and Grant to anyone who comes to Christchurch!

History Retold and Visited While Travelling With Ease
Everything was easy. Tickets bought on line, we crossed the park directly to the Victoria St Tram Stop waited a few mins ( longest wait 8 mins) The trams were never crowded and no queues. The drivers provided wonderful commentary. Stops at all major sites in the city. Certainly a worthwhile experience.

From hiking trips out to the Hooker Valley Track at the base of Aoraki (Mount Cook) to whale-watching on the coast of Kaikoura, there’s no shortage of outdoor adventures on Christchurch’s doorstep. Tolkien fans can even visit locations from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies. With so many scenic spots just a short drive away, Christchurch is an ideal home base for discovering the best of Aotearoa’s South Island.
