Top Chamonix Adventure Tours in 2026

It’s not just the skiing and climbing that makes Chamonix a world-class adventure destination: the area is famous for paragliding, too. Take to the air in perfect safety from 3,900 feet (2,100 meters) on a tandem flight with an instructor. Savor spectacular views of the Alps as your pilot manipulates the wing to ride the air currents from Plan Praz or Plan de l’Aiguille (cable-car ticket not included).

The Aiguille du Midi is the highest point in the Mont Blanc massif—Western Europe’s tallest mountain—that can be reached by cable car. With this tour, enjoy magnificent panoramic views over the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps as you ride the two-part cable car to a height of 9,843 feet (3,842 meters). At the top, marvel at the 360° views and perhaps dare to ‘Step into the Void’—an all-glass box suspended over the mountain peaks.
