The Tropea Cooking Experience is a fun, informal, and interactive cooking class, where you will learn how to prepare delicious recipes typical of a local cook. An authentic local hands-on experience, discovering and tasting together, around a convivial table, traditional and seasonal dishes.

Be welcomed by a local host into their kitchen for a hands-on lesson and prepare three traditional recipes, including fresh pasta from scratch. My house, with a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea, is located a few steps from the historic center. During my courses, in which you will actively participate, we will make typical recipes of the local tradition (macaroni al ferretto, strongatura, swordfish, stockfish, preserves in oil, dried tomatoes, cured meats and local cheeses), we will use typical local tools, and there will be no shortage of the most representative recipes of the Italian territory (pizza, carbonara, norma, arancini, cannoli......). Possibility of vegetarian menu. Food intolerances and allergies must be communicated when booking. Possible visit to the local market to be agreed before.

We will familiarize ourselves with the milk and dairy production process of Pecorino del Monte Poro and Ricotta. During a traditional pasta-making class, we’ll discover the secrets and tips to make our own pasta meal.
