Top Albany Day Trips

The Granite Skywalk at Porongurup rewards you with Southern Ocean views, but reaching it means a moderate walk and a scramble that's easier with a guide who knows the route. Head out from Albany with the driving and trail sorted, tackling the 2.6-mile (4.2-kilometer) climb to Castle Rock over rocks and up an enclosed ladder to the skywalk. Finish with a stop at a local winery for Western Australia's regional food and wine.

Sail around the sheltered waters of Oyster Harbour and the Kalgan River on this half-day scenic cruise aboard a glass-bottom vessel. Learn about the area’s history and wildlife and find out why Albany is home to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC). Spot wildlife such as hawks, eagles, pelicans, and kangaroos.

Lovers of good food and drink won't want to miss this full-day tour of Mt. Barker region. Enjoy the views as you tour vineyards located in a cool climate beside national parks. Don't worry about who is going to be the designated driver as you'll be driven to several top-notch wineries in a comfortable vehicle. Wine tastings and lunch (consisting of a shared platter) are included.
