Wonderful tour of Verona's spritz bars

Wayne_P, Jul 2026

A wonderful small tour of Verona with some locally important bars. Our guide, Maria, was absolutely incredible; very friendly, informative, and asked us questions about what we liked to drink to tailor the spritz experience to us personally which was a very welcome touch. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a relaxed and lovely way to spend an evening in Verona! Interesting history, some very fun stories, and fantastic drinks!

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you Wayne, we're happy you enjoyed the tour, we have other fascinating tours available 😉 Best wishes Maria Pia

Highly recommended! Maria Gia was an excellent guide! She has an extensive knowledge for Verona history and folklore. She is a great storyteller and conversationalist. I really enjoyed learning about the local wines and history of the Aperol Spritz.

Our tour guide was lovely! We had a fun time and went to places we wouldn’t have known to go to on our own.

How fun!

Marie_C, Sept 2023

We had a fantastic evening with Maria Pia - who knew that there was so much to learn about Spritzs?? Maria Pia is very knowledgable and has lots to share about the history of these ubiquitous drinks, and much more ! On her recommendation, I was eager to try the famous Risotto alla Amarone - as it is a recipe that is generally cooked for 2, I did not manage to experience it on this holiday. But inspired by the same theme, I managed to try the Ravioli alla Amarone - memorably delicious! Thank you for the experience, we loved it!

Spritzy History!

Todd_H, Jul 2023

This was such a fun experience! A good way to not only get some history on the city of Verona along with some fun stories, but also meet some new people along the way! Highly suggested!

Response from Host, Jul 2023

Yes, it's a good way to make new friends and enjoy a typical part of Italian life ... Thank you for your nice review, I wish you a great remaining of your holiday!
