Rodrigo was a wonderful, thoughtful guide - he was on time, a great driver, and very knowledgeable and funny. He clearly cared about the local community and had great relationships with the various people we encountered along the way. He offered bathroom breaks, snacks, stops, etc. with no pressure. Before pickup they were very responsive via text and it was super easy to arrange everything. Highly recommend doing this as a half day activity!

Rodrigo was an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of life in Yukatan peninsula. He and his partner guided us through the jungle where we saw four spider monkeys, and four or five howler monkeys, as well as some birds. We loved seeing them in their native habitat and learning more about Mayan culture.
We highly recommend this tour.

Rodrigo picked us up from our resort and was very punctual/communicative. He had a fantasitic attitude and was super helpful/concerned with out experience throughout the trip. We saw a bunch of monkeys despite the intermittent rain had a great time! Do not hesitate to book if you want to see monkeys in their natural habitat with experienced guides.

An absolutely beautiful hike through the Mayan jungle in the Punta Laguna Nature Park. We saw plenty of howler monkeys, spider monkeys, birds, lizards, and leaf-cutter ants. Eli of Yucatan Eli's Tours was the perfect guide to make this half-day excursion a memorable experience!!!

Rodrego our tour guide was amazing, passionate about his job and tours . We was able to see the spider monkeys in there own jungle .
The Mayan guide Louis who’s family own the land was able to take us to the area of the jungle to witness this beautiful animal . Definitely worth booking .

My six year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed the monkey hike at Punta Laguna. The communication with the tour company was excellent and our guide, Rodrigo, provided a wonderful experience. Once at the park we were joined by a member of the local indigenous community who assisted Rodrigo with the tour. The hike requires moderate exertion and good, closed toe shoes are a must. We saw spider monkeys and howler monkeys, as well as some unexcavated Maya structures. Rodrigo was so gracious and came well prepared for any contingencies.

After booking the tour, the provider sent us messages on whatsapp with advice on what to wear and additional information on our pick up.
Rodrigo picked us up at the hotel. It was very hot that day, but the car had great air conditioning and Rodrigo had brought us ice cold drinks and snacks. We had forgotten to grab lunch before the tour, so he also pulled over at a small local mayan village where we ate some amazing chargrilled pollo asado and mondogo soup.
During the tour we were lucky to see some howler monkeys in addition to many spider monkeys. Rodrigo was extremely knowledgeable about both the area, wildlife, and also local mayan culture. By the end of the trip we had gotten a whole new appreciation of the local and and of their amazing culture.
Even after the tour had ended and we had returned to the hotel, we had some unrelated traveling issues and ended up messaging Rodrigo that evening to get some advice, since he had been so friendly and helpful to us all day. He ended up going above and beyond, even the next day during his day off, to help us solve our travel issues! We are looking forward to returning to Tulum and would love to go on another tour and hang out with Rodrigo again!!

Eli was amazing to communicate with, checking in on WhatsApp on the day prior to ensure we were setup for a great tour. He was fun to connect with, knowledgeable, and brought a local guide into the woods with us to attracts the monkeys close with monkey calls. While it’s true that some will tour four an hour or so trying to see a monkey, we were lucky enough to see both howler and spider monkeys up close in their natural habitat within an hour. Excellent tour.

This tour was so awesome!!! Our tour guide Nelson picked us up from our hotel right on time and immediately made us feel like we already knew each other. He was so nice and gave us so many tips for the remainder of our trip as well as so much information about the area. We learned so much about Tulum from him. Once we arrived, we were passed off to Santo who took us on our monkey hike. When I say this was a real trek through a real jungle! We felt like we were in a movie. It poured down rain on us for the first 30 mins of so (Nelson was sweet enough to provide us each an umbrella), so we initially had a hard time finding any monkeys. Santo did not let that stop anything. He led us through the park until the rain let up, showing us other interesting plants and critters along the way. Eventually he finally found some spider monkeys and it was incredible to see them in their natural habitat. Truly so special and a once in a lifetime opportunity. We ended up seeing more of them a few times before meeting back up with Nelson, who then took us to an above ground cenote and gave us the opportunity to take a dive and cool off from our crazy hike. On the way back, Nelson even made a couple extra stops with us just to pick up a couple items we had mentioned we were interested in getting. This was out of pure kindness and hospitality. These guys were so cool and down to earth. It felt like more of a real deal authentic tour rather than a super touristy gimmicky excursion . As long as you are prepared with proper clothing and footwear and are not afraid to get down and dirty, this tour is a must on your trip and 100% worth the money. Nelson and Santo if you see this thank you again from Eve and Benny!!!

Great tour with very knowlegable guide who could call to the monkeys and get them to call back. He knew all about their behavior and answered all kinda of questions we had from their social structures to food sources and breeding. We saw over a dozen spider monkeys and two howler monkeys. Very highly recommended for anyone who wants to see wild monkeys up close.

This was such a special experience, a highlight of our trip! Nelson, our guide, and Eric, our driver, were both so knowledgeable and fun, great with our kids (12, 8) and us. We saw howler and spider monkeys and cooled off with a swim in the beautiful lagoon -- amazing. Highly highly recommend!

We had an awesome time on our tour. Our tour guide, Eli was terrific. He was super energetic, good humored and extremely informative about the history of the country and the Maya. We were very lucky to be up-close and personal with the spider monkey’s, and had a the opportunity to witness many swinging families. It felt like the documentary was brought live to our eyes. We’ve been on a few group excursions, Yucatan Eli’s is a smaller tour company. Eli himself took us, privately and showed us the Mayan culture firsthand. Eli is very knowledgeable in the local history and culture,which made our excursion unforgettable. He was very willing to go above and beyond to offer us an authentic Mayan experience!! Très bonne expérience. Nous avons pu observer des singes araignées et une famille de singes hurleurs dans leur milieu naturel. Le guide nous a apporté beaucoup de renseignements sur leur mode de vie... Le lieu est très agréable et la randonnée dans la forêt au top.
