What are people saying about Tulum

Best Tour in the Yucatan
This was the best guided tour I've ever had. They came and picked us up at our hotel (on time), super friendly, lots of bottled water handed out to us at every stop, but most importantly - Miguel is the most knowledgeable, authentic tour guide you could ever want! If you're looking for a special Mayan tour - this is it! You'll learn so much, and have fun!

This tour is exactly as...
This tour is exactly as described. Our guide Luis & driver Manuel did everything to make it enjoyable. Seeing the ruins (much larger area than we expected) was incredible & the Cenote was a great experience. Lunch was great. Definitely a worthwhile excursion.

The ruins are really...
The ruins are really interesting. You can see original colors and layouts of the city. The place is very well kept. The guide Candy was very knowledgeable as well as concise (a plus in a 38 celcius degrees day at noon), giving us very interesting insights about Mayan gods, and how they are portrayed in architecture.
Snorkeling with turtles was successful. We saw several of them, quite close but carefully. Fernando (our main guide) was always taking care that we could all see them without disturbing them (or the least as possible). We also saw a big stingray. One thing that could have been mentioned in this tour's description: you are not allowed to enter the water with sunscreen to not disturb the fauna, which makes sense, but if they mentioned it beforehand we could have taken extra tshirts with us... which also comes in handy because they were selling tshirts! This is a bit shady. I don't dislike the tour for this, but for anyone reading: take extra tshirt (or water shirts).
The closed Cenote was stunning. And since we still had the snorkeling masks we could see how the cave was underwater. Really beautiful experience.
About the guides: Fernando was both nice and giving us very good information. He is truly competent at his job. He answered every question we had and he appreciates the questions, actually.
The photographer (another Fernando) took really good photos.
Now, we cannot avoid mentioning Maria Teresa. Thankfully she wasn't our main guide, but we went with her to the entrance of the ruins. She made sure that that would take us at least an hour coming, going, coming back, going again... just for bathrooms. And, of course we understand people needing bathrooms, but then why not using them at the entrance? Also, the group was going to be divided in 2 groups either way, and the people that wanted to go to the bathroom suggested for the rest to continue, but no... we had to ALL go back to the entrance (with a golf cart which we had to wait for). By the end, we could have just gone back on our own, but we were engaged into waiting again for people who, again, suggested for the rest to be able to leave. Another thing: we are adults, we don't need to be called little children, have every answer sugarcoated as if I was a 5 year old.
Since this was the very beginning of our trip, we were really, really regretting choosing this tour. However, after we managed to just go with Candy, then the rest of the tour (Cenote, Snorkeling) was really amazing, so the mood was restored, thankfully.

Fantastic Tour - Absolutely Worth It!
Perfecto was our guide who did a great job keeping us informed of the history of Chichen Itza and Mayan culture, giving us our siesta time in the van and making the overall experience efficient. The restaurant we went to was Reataurante Tio Monolo which also had crafted souvenirs and where you can get your mayan astrology paper. We also took a stop in Valladolid where we pretty much ate all the dessert you can possibly enjoy. This tour is certainly worth the money!

Awesome tour guide, short trip overall
Overall, an awesome trip! Carlos Moo was a wonderful tour guide - very knowledgeable, easy to understand, has clearly been doing this a long time. The bus was clean and the whole operation was pretty smooth. Ekinox Tours did a great job!
Your enjoyment will depend on what you are looking for in a tour. The whole thing felt a bit rushed (especially Tulum) but it had to, in order to fit within 7-8 hours. It’s the price you pay for a half day tour. If you want a more comprehensive tour, go for the 10-12 hour tours. They’re that long for a reason
Also, your pickup time depends on your location. We got a WhatsApp text less than 24 hours in advance with our time. Would have been nice to know that info sooner, but that’s our only real complaint. Very enjoyable overall!

Ancient ruins and refreshing cenoté swim
Although a long day of approximately 16 hours, the experience and tour guide were well worth it! Comfortable bus with water, soft drinks and beer included at each stop. Knowledgeable tour guide Alejandro that took the time to give historical answers to all our questions. Tulum and Coba were Mayan ruins in two very different locations on windy coast and inner forest. The ability to walk up the steps of Coba was a-mazing! Local linch and Mayan blessing was a lovely addition for the day. The cenoté was very relaxing and refreshing in the beauty of being totally underground and only our tour at the location. The stop in Playa del Carmen was a bit too peopley for me but was a short stop and the sorbet was yummy. Highly recommend the tour and to bring supper snacks in your day bag.

Enjoyable and great learning experience
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide, Sergio as well as the coordinator Orlando and the driver were excellent, professional and polite. Sergio’s information regarding each stop was stellar. He did a great job as a tour guide through Chichen Itza. Thanks to all 3 for making this all day tour ( 12 hours) totally enjoyable and a great learning experience.

3 Cenote small group personal tour a must do
This was an awesome tour led by Jessica who was so informative and took our group to 3 different kinds of centers. We managed to get to each before the crowds arrived which helped this feel as a personal tour. Our family felt comfortable even through some have never experienced being in the water. From the open air, partially underground and then full cave walking tour this was the best time we spent in Tulum. The entire process from pickup to drop
Off went perfectly and the lunch stop was a perfect break in the middle of our day. Strongly recommend this tour as you’ll likely never see anything like it again

Must do excursion!
This was truly such a great activity! I went to Mexico solo and loved having my pictures taken for me. The workers were incredibly friendly and patient. We got our pictures about 24 hours after the excursion ended and I was sent 250+ pictures to sort through! Food at the beach club was great as well.

Amazing tour but the bus ride is a one star
The tour is a FULL DAY tour. Leave around 8:00 am and don’t come back until 10:00 pm. The tour itself was enjoyable but it could have been condensed for us….it was 2:00 pm and we visited the cinote and were just starting lunch (5 hours in).
The sites were wonderful and the tour guides were very informative. Five stars for the team!!!
I do have to give THE TOUR BUS a one star though. Very uncomfortable ride for the journey. If the person in front of you puts their chair back, you literally have two inches of room. There’s a cup holder on the left that grinds into your left thighs and a seat lever on the right side that grinds into your right side. Overall, the bus was terrible for a 2.5-3.0 one way journey. If you have bad knees, I’d suggest taking a smaller tour with better space inside the vehicle. lol. Sound like a silly complaint but it’s a long journey to have the guy in front of you with his seat tilted back in your lap, a cup holder grinding your left thighs and a seat lever grinding your right side.

Great excursion
It was a great experience! Something I’ll remember for a lifetime! You might think you don’t have enough time to enjoy everything but you do! It’s a great experience and honestly I would do it again! Definitely one for the books! Bring your own snack though but food was 1/5. Overall 10/10 experience though !

Tulum/Cenotes/Playa Del Carmen
This was an amazing experience we got to see the Tulum Ruins. Make sure to bring a hat, umbrella, fan. It gets hot. We went to two Cenotes that were beautiful. We also went to Playa del Carmen. You can eat and shop. Our tour guide Carlos is the best. He is of Mayan origin and knows the culture well. He is funny and friendly. Highly recommended this experience.
