This was an amazing opportunity to see the inner sights of beautiful TaipeI. Rita, our guide was amazing and guided us successfully through streets to visit temples, memorial places and along the beautiful biking river trail. We also had the chance to eat a traditional Taiwanese breakfast and enjoyed the fresh air and friendly faces along the journey. WELL WORTH THE TIME.

Great tour. Alex was an excellent guide. Got a great sense of the history of Taipei along with seeing the sites. Bike and route were both an easy ride.

A fun tour through Taipei

Scott_F, Apr 2026
Highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Mike, was a wealth of knowledge—he didn't just show us the sights but explained the historical significance behind them, which made the experience so much richer. Plus, the bikes were a dream to use. Even if you aren't a regular cyclist, it's a smooth and easy way to explore Taipei.

Our tour guide, Rita, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and kept a good pace. She interacted with all 8 members of the group.

See a lot while having good, safe fun!

Stanley_W, Apr 2026
This is a super easy and safe ride even for those who are not cycling experts. Rita, our guide, took us on an interesting tour through back streets as well as sailing along grand boulevards. She always made sure intersections were safe for all to cross. Breakfast was a pure delight and since we were an adventurous crew, Rita introduced us a snack of pig blood cake. It’s far tastier than it sounds. In addition to being a great biking guiide, Rita is smart and has a delightful sense of humor. Don’t miss this excursion.

Cycling in downtown Taipei was pretty fun despite the rain. I would definitely recommend this as a quick and active intro to Taipei

Trip Highlight

Travis_G, Apr 2026
Great way to see the city. Recommend doing earlier in your trip to get a lay of the land. Had a really great experience and was a trip highlight.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thanks Travis! Great riding with you guys! -Mike

Great bike tour with lots of history and immersion in local culture.

Bobbi_B, Mar 2026
Alex was a great guide. From a cycling perspective, most of the riding is done on less crowded alleys and streets, although there is a bit of riding in more crowded city areas. For the more crowded parts, Alex was careful to explain how best to safely navigate. From a touring perspective, we stopped to see several important historical things and visited multiple different types of neighborhoods. With each stop Alex explained various aspects of the history of Taiwan and the local people. He presented his personal views but also was quick to acknowledge that not everyone in Taiwan shares identical opinions. I found his narrative to be very informative and the sites we visited to be extremely interesting. Breakfast was at a small local shop with authentic food. Not fancy at all, but very tasty and a great way to sample local foods and be immersed in the culture.

Biking fun in Taipei.

Lack of Reliability and No Backup Plan

Nathan_B, Jan 2026
We arrived early after a late flight and went to the meeting point, but no guide showed up. Only after checking the Viator app did I see a late-night note saying the guide had lost his voice. When we eventually connected, we were sent a generic “top ten” list that wasn’t useful for a one-day visit, including a Japanese restaurant and a walking street far across the city. With only one day in Taipei and it now being mid-morning, there was no realistic way to pivot or recreate the experience we had booked. We ended up spending the day wandering without a plan. I understand that people get sick, but there was no meaningful attempt to provide an alternative — no replacement guide, no modified tour, no practical backup plan. The booking was refunded, but the experience itself was lost. If your time in Taipei is limited, I would think carefully before relying on this tour.

Worth it!

Kathryn_C, Jan 2026
We had a long layover and this was a great little tour of Taipei! Our guide Mike was excellent with all the history of the country! Fascinating stories and history - we thoroughly enjoyed! And the changing of the guard was interesting too!! We wish we had more time to explore the city!

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Thank you again, Kathryn! It was great to have you and your lovely family along for the ride. Best wishes in 2026!

Tony provided a lot of insightful historical and present day information along the way and guided us astutely through some crowded areas. I hadn’t been on a bike in a while, but did alright with the route he led us along. Breakfast was delicious, too.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you for the kind review, it was my pleasure showing you around.

Tony is the best! Outstanding tour!

John_F, Nov 2025
Tony is amazing! A world class culture tour on bikes that kicked off with a delicious authentic Taipei breakfast. Our group of 6 ride through back alleys and to Presidential palaces. Outstanding tour with a perfect guide.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you for the review John, glad you had a good time!

Great for solo & group travel

DeAndre_C, Nov 2025
I had an excellent time. Mauriceo was amazing, very friendly and clear with translating the tour to accommodate the English speakers. Highly recommend ESPECIALLY for your first day in Lima.

I highly recommend this tour

Kazunori_M, Nov 2025
I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Priscilla, was very considerate, knowledgeable, and entertaining, and spoke excellent English. She took us to the most important historic buildings and treated us with tasty local food and herb tea. The change of guards ceremony at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall was fascinating to watch. This bicycle tour was the best way to explore Taipei because it covered far more areas than a walking tour. Four hour cycling was a little exhausting, but good exercise. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who can ride a bicycle. Thank you so much, Priscilla!

Outstanding tour of Taipei

Elaine_C, Nov 2025
Outstanding. Host Tony was knowledgeable and really took good care of us. Breakfast was fun and tasty. The tea stop. Saw local places off the beaten track. I highly recommend

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you Elaine, happy you had a good time!

Easy pace bike tour of Old Taipei

Michael_H, Oct 2025
Flats surfaces, water bottle is provided, breakfast was delicious, Mike was awesome, especially with his.knowlesge of the area and historical perspective.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you, Michael! Was great having you along.

Very satisfactory.

Rickus_C, Oct 2025
The tour was delivered as described, satisfactory for our very first morning in Taipei. One way to enhance the experience would be to add one directional headsets for the guide to easily communicate with each participant while riding and walking in the noisy city streets.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you for the feedback Rickus.
