Jack was great. Had an amazing time. Surfed many small and medium waves. Surfed one very big wave. The theory he and the instructors teach is by a margin the best. Great experience.

Had a really fun surfing lesson! The instructors were friendly, patient, and very helpful, making it easy for beginners to feel comfortable in the water. They gave clear guidance and lots of encouragement throughout the session. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to try surfing!

Really good lessons. Broken down so very simple, starting off with some theory before getting on the boards. Jack & Taj were great instructors and were able to give personal feedback despite there being 15+ people in the group.

Surfing is a great sport but idea of having 2hr introductory class is terribly wrong. All people in the class were complete beginners and you are not even given the time to have a little warm up and stretch for such a demanding sport as a beginner. After 5 mins of explanation, you get in the water, then go out again, get instructions on how to stand up on the board and go back to the water without having fully practiced to navigate the waves. I severely damaged my ankle within the first 1 hour. Don’t get me wrong, staff were all great, also very helpful after the incident but it’s not worth it. Have proper surf classes if you want to learn this sport.

Injuries are extremely rare with our proven practices, even while teaching tens of thousands of satisfied surfers every year. You booked a “beginner surf lesson” on New Year’s Day, designed as a fun, engaging way to try surfing. We’ve reached out to resolve this issue privately. Our humble instructors mentioned their names briefly at the end of our lessons. Hope I got their names right: Marcus and Tosh/Trent?? These two were excellent!
Instructions given were clear and fundamental steps given in sequential order to help us succeed. No nonsense and safety talk given for our protection.
My teenager daughter and I enjoyed our first surfing lessons very much under very safe and structured lessons. It was not easy for us to "catch the waves" but we managed to stand on the very gentle waves.
I only wish there are slightly smaller boards because I am petite. Nonetheless, wonderful workout! Well done and hope to return one day.

The guys were very helpful, friendly and explained things well. I was an oldie amongst younger people, Trent soon recognised that I should do things differently and gave me time to try and learn.

It was okay, just way too many people. The booking says group size is 7 but it was 20 for us. 3 instructors but they asked at the beginning who had surfed before, which 2 girls had; 1 of the instructors then spent 1.5 hours of the 2 hour class 1:1 with the girls, which was totally unfair to the rest of the class. I had personal interaction with an instructor for approximately 1 minute of the 2 hours.

There were too many people so it was hard to practice or learn. Coaches were friendly and explained very well, however due to the crowd, there weren’t enough attention given to everyone.

Well unfortunately the December/Jan period over the Gold Coast and nearly most of Australia is the peak holiday season. We are so happy that our coaches were friendly and explained every thing very well. We did have 3 instructors that day and we could have taken more guest but we drop our instructor to client ratio to try and keep our amazing feedback. We will one hundred percent take your comments into consideration and only wish you expressed your concerns at the time of the lesson. But please come and see us again the next time you are around and I will personally take care of you.

Trent, Blake and Baloo(sp?) were amazingly patient with our girls and very knowledgeable. Every courtesy was extended to us and we were educated in small steps to ensure the best results. Such an amazing and responsive team (even before we arrived from the states)!

It was all right , but I the problem was the group was too big . It was around 24 people (4 teenager was with private instructor ) and for the rest 2 instructor . when i was in the water I saw them 10 minutos max in the end of the class .
I feel didn't worth it , i will have the same experience if I rent a surf pranch .

Wow this was the most fun experience ever. Our instructor Blake was the best. He gave so many good tips and tricks and helped us all surf and get on the board. I didn’t think I’d be successful at all, but I caught a bunch of waves and was on the board about 80% of the time. It was the best lesson ever and the most surreal experience. So beautiful and so so fun. Absolutely a must do in Gold Coast. Blake was the best and I’m so glad my first surf experience was with him. Wish I could’ve stayed for longer!!!

The experience itself was exactly as advertised and a lot of fun! The instructors were both fun and very helpful about getting people to be able to catch a wave and stand up. The wife, teens, and I were trying surfing for the first time and very happy with our achievements. I’d recommend that the tour operator consider an add-on package for pictures as it would have been a lot of fun to re-live. Also recommend they get lockers to better secure valuables.
