It was super fun! The tour guide was amazing and super informative and the hike is so pretty! The view from the top are some of, if not the best in the city and I highly recommend doing this with family or friends!

There is NO parking available Fridays–Sundays & holidays. Free street parking nearby Mon–Thurs (non-holidays).
The 2.5-hour hike covers 4 miles (6.4 km) on an easy-to-moderate trail.
The 90-minute express covers 1.8 miles (2.9 km) — easy difficulty.
Wear closed-toe shoes. Layers recommended — temperatures vary with elevation.

NOTE: Meet your guide OUTSIDE by the long white gate where the trailhead begins; they wear a neon yellow Bikes & Hikes vest. Do not bother the people at the houses in this neighborhood.
Recommended for ages 6 and up. Children must be able to hike independently. No strollers on the 2.5-hour route. For children under 6, the 90-minute option is strongly recommended.
No heart conditions or serious medical conditions. Guests should be in good general health.
Service animals welcome.
Not wheelchair accessible.

Hiking to the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles was such an amazing experience! The views were absolutely beautiful and the trail itself was a great adventure. What really made the hike special though were our guides, Noelle and Sarah. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience fun from start to finish. They shared interesting facts about the Hollywood Sign and the surrounding area, kept the us motivated, and made sure we felt comfortable along the way. Their energy and positivity made the hike even more enjoyable. Reaching the top and seeing the Hollywood Sign up close while overlooking Los Angeles was unforgettable. I’m so grateful for such a well-organized tour and such wonderful guides. If you’re thinking about doing this hike, I highly recommend it, especially with guides like Noelle and Sarah!

On the 29th of March I did the Hollywood Sign Hike to the front and back. Jon was my tour guide. He was leading and it was me and 9 others. Jon was a spectacular tour guide. 10 out of 10 for sure. He was a cool and fun person to be around. He gave us plenty of knowledge plus at times there was good general chit chat. He was very pleasant in all aspects. We did the Original 2.5 Hour Hollywood Sign Hike with Chris and it was fantastic! Our group was comprised of three smaller groups (an adult group of three from Japan, a family of four and our family of five). Chris did a fantastic job of catering his stories, the pace and our breaks to our group, our physicality and our interests. He was very entertaining, without being corny, and had a wealth of information about L.A and L.A history. It was an unseasonably hot day and he made sure we were all well-hydrated and took frequent breaks in the shade. He was also the best photographer and made sure everyone had pictures they were happy with. I would highly recommend the hike with him and we are so glad we did it!

This hike is definitely a challenge- especially if you come during warm months! The tickets didn’t say viator and hosts didn’t know which group we were in at first. Great views and photo ops, just a little unorganized.

We're sorry if there was any confusion at checkin as Viator is merely a marketplace to purchase your tickets (similar to, say, buying a candle at Walmart... Walmart doesn't make the candle, they just stock it in their store). And our guides always have the list of participants so even if you don't have your ticket, they'll be expecting you, so you may have interacted with another company before connecting with us. I want my refund!!!!

We called and tried to get the customer service support no answer told us to try the tour guide himself. Number was provided and he never answered never called back. Phone went straight to voicemail. Upon us trying to find location nobody was within the vicinity of the location. This was a real janky deal! I attempted to get a refund and they are telling me to reach out to the number I couldn’t get a hold of anyone. Waste of time and money! I want my refund!

Thank you for your review. We would like to clarify the facts of this situation for accuracy. You did speak directly with our office on the day of your tour and informed us that your group would be arriving late. During that call, we explained that the tour had already begun with other guests and could not be delayed without significantly disrupting the experience for the rest of the group. As stated in our booking confirmation and pre-tour instructions, we ask all guests to arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Based on the timing discussed during the call, your arrival would have been well past both the recommended check-in window and the tour departure time. For fairness to all guests on a scheduled, capacity-limited tour, we are unable to hold departures or allow late join-ins once the group has already left, as it would negatively impact the experience for those who arrived on time. We also want to clarify that all guest communication is handled through our main office line, which was staffed and responsive. For safety and privacy reasons, we do not provide guides’ personal phone numbers. Regarding the refund request, the reservation was made within our 24-hour cancellation window, meaning those spots were reserved and could not be resold to other guests. As a result, the booking fell outside of our refundable cancellation policy, which is clearly stated at the time of purchase. We always make a genuine effort to assist guests whenever possible and did communicate with you directly on the day of your tour.

I truly enjoyed this tour with my mom—it was such a pleasure from start to finish. The group was small and intimate, which made the experience feel relaxed and personal. Our tour guide, Noel, was knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly friendly, and she took some AMAZING photos along the way—seriously, such a gift. Even though I live in Los Angeles, I had never made it to the Hollywood Sign before, and I’m so glad my mom and I decided to do it this way. The experience would have been drastically different if we had hiked it solo. With the tour, you really get to slow down, take your time, soak it all in—there’s a little bit of history, plenty of photo ops, and a very good workout. It definitely helped me hit my goal for the day (lol). If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend booking the tour. And shoutout to Noel—she absolutely deserves it. 💛

Fantastic experience for a low price

Our guide Sarah was extremely knowledgeable and provided facts along the tour and was even able to answer all of our questions. She even gave us time to take some fantastic photos. We also came across some baby goats on our way down from the signs and got to hold them. This was truly an experience I will never forget and it was mainly due to Sarah making it all happen!

We went during the 10 days of unusual ran in LA but this trip was fantastic nonetheless. Our trip was originally cancelled and the manager communicated very efficiently and quickly to help us rebook it for a couple days later. We went on the 90 minute tour with Jon L who was amazing! He made the effort to talk with everyone on the tour (about 10 total ranging from 6 years old to 40 year olds) and connect with everyone. As he mentioned in the tour, he's not just your guide but also your personal photographer and he would provide opinions of the best shots and locations for pictures and would keep going until we felt we had a good picture. He was amazing and would certainly recommend this for any and all who want fantastic shots of the Hollywood sign and information about the surrounding areas. We even encountered a couple goats on the path which made the experience even more unexpected and fun.

We went when it was raining and foggy but still really enjoyed the experience. We loved our tour guide Sarah - she gave us tons of neat stories along our walk and shared neat facts! The fog wasn’t ideal but we decided it made the experience even more unique and so we rolled with it! The hike up is pretty easy and during sunshine, offers some cool views (Sarah showed us pics!). We would definitely do this again!
