What To Expect
Make your way to a central location in Cabo San Lucas, where you meet a guide for a visit to the local spice market and tortillería, and pick up some fresh corn dough for making tortillas by hand.
Continue to the chef’s home, then prepare a full lunch with a main dish, salsas, sides, and tortillas that you’ll eat hot from the grill. Learn about the culture and context of what you’re cooking, and get tips for reproducing the recipe in your home kitchen. When the meal is prepared, sit down to enjoy what you've cooked.

This was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it. Issi was a great host; very informative and made sure that everyone was engaged. He was also a great musician playing Santana percussion!! :-) The music was very well done, so that it did not interfere with the food presentations. Margheritas were great, and I now know how to create my own. Everything was very clean and sanitary. It was nice that we got to be involed in buying the groceries. The staff were very nice and full of smiles. This was one of my best experiences in Cabo. (We actually were tabled with a couple who were there for their 14th time.) I would highly recommend this class and give it a 5 star rating!!

We booked a cooking class in Cabo and I’ll admit I was nervous going in — it was 90°F with 75% humidity, and I assumed we’d be cooking outside in that heat. Instead, they started us off in a nice air-conditioned room with a chocolate tasting, walking us through how chocolate is made, then moved into a mole tasting and explanation.
From there we loaded into a well air-conditioned van and visited a tortillería, carnicería, and local market to pick out our ingredients. Our chef, Issi, then brought us to his home, where we made chile rellenos, pico de gallo, guacamole, salsa verde, salsa roja, and more — plus a round of excellent margaritas. Issi was patient and hands-on, walking us through every step, and the food was outstanding. He even shared his recipes with us afterward so we could recreate everything at home.
This was genuinely one of a kind — highly recommend if you’re looking for an immersive, hands-on food experience in Cabo.

this excursion was the highlight of our trip to Cabo. Chef Caroline and her cast were amazing, from start to finish! we began and ended with tequila, something i did not like prior to this trip; Georgé was amazing! the Caroline welcomed us into her house for a cooking class that was much more like a family meal… we drank a margaritas and cooked, ate and laughed… boy did we laugh! if a return trip to Cabo appears on our agenda, i can assure you we will be visiting Sweet Caroline again… so good, so good!!

So much fun!!! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our hostess and the wonderful group we had the pleasure of meeting. Food: 100! Drinks: 100! Organization: 100! Everything spot on except dont use uour hands to remove seeds from peppers... use a spoon or knife. My nails and cuticles burned for 12 hours. Otherwise highly recommend!

Great way to experience excellent Cabo, Mexican cuisine with lots of fun information and good times. We visited authentic markets to procure the ingredients, chopped cooked assembled and ate an amazing meal! We learned a lot also about cacao and mole and experienced wonderful music at the same time! Excellent driving and information beyond the food prep! Had great fun, making our own margaritas. Highly recommend for a group or individuals or anyone who wants to learn more about cooking excellent Mexican cuisine and who wants to enjoy a fabulous meal!

This was so so fun! The whole team was so nice and wonderful. The food, drinks, and hospitality were 10/10. We also got to watch Mexico beat South Africa in the opening World Cup game!!! Highly recommend this experience.

It’s the best ever. Second time enjoying it. We were fortunate that the other people signed up cancelled so it was just the three us and chef Izzy said we could choose what to cook. We went to the tortilla store where they made them, the fruit and vegetables shop and the butcher shop. Went back to the house and participated in all the cooking chores and enjoyed home made margaritas. It was so much fun and a great way to enjoy authentic Mexican food. Was joined by Carolina who helped us making guacamole and salsas. She is so knowledgeable and friendly. She even remembered my granddaughter from two years ago. Returned to the restaurant and learned all about the cacao bean and had a chocolate and mole tasting. This is a family enterprise and it ahows

Such a fun experience! We tried to keep the activists to a minimum because this vacation was about relaxing so this was our first one of two. Such an amazing experience. We had a blast with Carolina at their home. So warm and welcoming and inviting and amazing food. We had margaritas and the most fresh food you can imagine. It was just my wife and I so it was very intimate and everyone was lovely. Highly recommend and most definitely worth it for the cost.

It was an amazing experience from beginning to end. It's a family owned business who has a local restaurant. We also got a mole talk. He took us shopping to the produce store and the butcher shop. We also went to the tortilla factory where tortillas are made for locals, restaurants. There was just 4 of us so we went to a house which was set up perfectly for this experience. We made most of the meal which we got to enjoy. We also learned the correct way to make margaritas which we also got to enjoy.

This is such an amazing experience! You are in a small group setting with 6-8 people. You get to go to the local markets before you start cooking. Everything is hands on so you learn a lot. At the end you do get all of the recipes you made plus additional recipes. I would definitely recommend this class!
