Lovely trip to agricultural Hokkaido
We spent a wonderful day in Furano and surrounding areas. Our driver, Tommy, was excellent. I had low expectations given we va were traveling in August, but the flower farms were still stunning. The Blue pond is amazing. The only non perfect part of our day was lunch. We stopped at Furano Marche which had a cafe/bakery, a smoothie shop, a place that sold food in pastry and a wagyu burger shop. Tried the wagyu burger. It was tasteless except for the yummy slice of tomato. Pilsner beer was excellent. Highly recommend having melon ice cream or smoothie and the Furano melon is really delicious. Altogether a great day.

Wonderful guide and relaxing tour
My tour guide Ashleigh was wonderful and helped make the experience very memorable and enjoyable. I had many questions that she helped answer and helped many of us take pictures as well. The tour in general did not feel rushed at all and there was an enough time to do many activities. I also liked how the tour started later at 9:30AM and after, which helps us arrive at the destinations later than other tour groups that helped us avoid peak crowds of other tour groups.

Amazing Soba Workshop With the Kindest Instructor.
Making soba noodles at Mondo’s Most Popular No.1 in Sapporo was such a highlight of our trip. Fresh soba is on a totally different level — the taste and texture blew me away.
Taku, the owner, was incredibly patient and kind, showing us exactly how to mix the dough, roll it out, and hand‑cut the noodles with the traditional soba knife. They served tempura with our finished soba, and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The Hokkaido corn was unbelievably sweet — a perfect little surprise that made the whole meal even better.A fun, hands‑on experience and one of our favorite memories from Hokkaido. Highly recommend.

10/10 Recommend this experience
My tour guide Tom was very kind and helpful all throughout my experience. It was just us on the tour and I would not have had it any other way. He answered my questions very carefully and with a lot of thought. We discussed a lot of great topics. Tom also helped me take some pictures during the tour. I was even more pleasantly surprised by how accommodating he was of my dietary requirements. As a vegetarian, it can be difficult to find plant-based options in Japan. Around the end of the tour, Tom actually called ahead to a restaurant he knew and made sure they had a vegetarian option. He also helped me figure out what entrance of the subway I needed to take to get to my hotel. The walking tour itself was very peaceful and a good chance to see some landmarks as well as the surrounding city atmosphere. Since it was my very first day in Sapporo, I needed something relaxing and calm to get me started so this experience was perfect!

Takada, our Excellent Driver
Takada was our driver and his Alphard was immaculate. He was such a gentleman and although he didn't speak much English, he would do over and beyond by showing us the English translation of what he wanted to impart to us about the interesting sights along the way and in Furano. He was thoughtful and anticipated our needs. Our visit to Furano: Farm Tomita, Shikisai-no-Oka...was a beautiful experience.

This was a wonderful...
This was a wonderful experience. My kids and I enjoyed it very much. Even though Michi did not speak English, we were able to easily communicate using Google Translate. She was very warm and welcoming. She did not rush us during the activity. My kids said it was their favorite activity in Sapporo! We have a souvenir to remember our trip!

Highly Recommend Handmade Soba Mondo
Excellent experience for the whole family!
Taku and his wife are the epitome of Japanese hospitality. Located about 20 minutes away from Sapporo Station by Taxi. We used the Go Taxi App. 1 hour includes history of soba, mixing soba flour and water by hand, rolling, and cutting by hand. The noodles are delicious and chewy. The soba sauce and soup are equally delicious. You can add on tempura if you’d like. Highly recommend this experience for the whole family.

Lots of delicious food and drinks!
Hide was a fun and gracious host. We went to three different places and had more than enough delicious food, and drinks at each spot. None of us could actually finish everything since we were so full! You should come hungry and ready to drink. We were a group of seven people who did not know each other before, but by the end, we were laughing together and had a great time.

A lovely few hours...
A lovely few hours enjoying Scott’s guidance and hospitality. Enjoyed the Ainu Museum, the public transportation rides, the lunch experience, the onsen soaking and of course, Scott’s conversations and dry humor!
The experience was enhanced by the presence of Stella and Faith from Hawaii in our little group.

We learned, we laughed, we loved it!
I dislike writing reviews, but this place has earned one. Such a fun and welcoming group of people.
We sat ringside and were given instruction in the history and basics of Sumo wrestling (this while enjoying a quite good dinner and drinks). Then, we watched our two competitors warm up and do battle. It was really impressive.
But nothing could match the moment we donned our own inflatable Sumo suits and entered the ring ourselves to test our skills against the professionals. Hilarious would be an understatement.
Everyone from the wrestlers to the host to the other staff was so delightful and friendly, they made it a truly memorable evening.
Our three-week stay in Japan was marked by great food, extraordinary art, rich history and magnificent scenery. But this, this madcap experience was a high point we will never forget.
An absolute must-do.

I had a great time with...
I had a great time with Iku as the guide! She had a binder full of facts on the area and answered any questions the group had. I went as a solo traveler and felt comfortable being led around to different points of interest by Iku. She showed us some good photo opportunities and helped take photos as well. She helped me collect a goshuin when I asked about it. I learned alot from this experience and have a deeper appreciation of Sapporo.

Fun Day Great Sights
Got to see some pretty spectacular sights on a snowy day - a zoo covered in snow, a waterfall, lake and artisans at work. Tomi our guide and driver did a fantastic job making sure we were comfortable and beautifully navigated the snowy roads and road closures.
