Fantastic day in crystal clear water
Amazing snorkeling! Some of the best we’ve ever done! The water was super clear and we saw many amazing things including sharks, a cuttlefish, and even an octopus! Sam was a super fun guide and got lots of great pictures for us. The day started out partly sunny and beautiful and we went to three spots. As we departed the third spot, the skies opened up and we had a fierce storm all the way back to port. The crew did a great job keeping everyone safe and as comfortable as possible.

The tour itself was very...
The tour itself was very well organized and great for beginners. The facility is nice. They give you snorkels and a wetsuit. Afterwards there are showers with soap and shampoo included as well. There were two other parties with us and each party has their own guide. Definitely did not feel overbooked with the company. Lisa was our guide she was as great and made sure we were okay the entire time. They take safety seriously. Probably not great if you’re an avid snorkeler or diver since they make you wear a lifevest the entire time. I was a beginner and felt super comfortable. Definitely would recommend. The cave itself gets busy as there are several other tour groups running at the same time. Recommend to go as early as possible.

We had the best time...
We had the best time today! Even with heavy rain, Hiro made sure we got the most out of our time in Iriomote. He was a local, and very knowledgeable of the wildlife and pointed out so much along the way. We didn't go up to the top of the waterfall because of the rain, so instead he took us to a different one elsewhere and still cooked us ramen for lunch, which was delicious. Hiro's english was also great, and the whole way was full of relaxed conversation. The kayaking and hike were absolutely beautiful, and a must-do for anyone coming to Iriomote. Would highly recommend!

Super-fun tour!
Sander was an awesome tour guide. He was flexible, enthusiastic and loads of fun. The spider monkey experience was probably my favorite thing I’ve done in Japan. Sander helpfully took a bunch of pictures during our tour and sent them to us afterwards which was great because he got fun action shots that we couldn’t get ourselves. The glass bottom boat was interesting but a little sad because there was so much dead coral. Sander picked out the most beautiful spots on the island to share with us. He also had made videos for us to watch between stops that were informative and showed some great drone footage of the island. We couldn’t be happier.

Okinawa, a captivating Japanese archipelago, boasts more than 160 islands with stunning cerulean waters, pristine beaches, and lush landscapes. On Okinawa tours, local guides showcase the region’s highlight—the “blue cave”—where the crystal-clear waters shine under the right conditions. This is a popular destination, so if you want to avoid the crowds, snorkeling, diving, and kayaking excursions are plentiful throughout the area. Beyond coastal adventures, try a street go-kart excursion (costumes encouraged!). Or, for a more comprehensive sightseeing itinerary, explore 20 must-see spots, from the impressive Shurijo Castle to the picturesque Hiji Waterfall and Nakagusuku Castle.
