This was a great tour. I felt humbled and moved to visit the places where many have given their ultimate sacrifice for us to have the freedom we enjoy today. Raphaelle was just the ultimate guide. Very passionate about the history the she was sharing with us. Very knowledgeable. She came with her microphone and her booklet of pictures. She was well organized. Kept us in line with the schedule. Fabulous Day in Normandy

I took this tour from the cruise port. I had previously taken a ship excursion to Normandy a couple years ago that was “rush rush rush” and it was hard to absorb the experience. On this tour we visited the same places as those on the ship tour today but we paid a fraction of the price charged on ship, and it was so much more relaxed and our guide Norman was fantastic!

What a fantastic day we had with Wim as our guide! From the first moment we noticed that we were on the road with someone who has a lot of knowledge, but who also knows how to convey it in a fascinating and compelling way. Throughout the day Wim took us along the most important places of D-Day, such as Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, the American cemetery, Pointe du Hoc and the back roads where the Allies advanced at the time. We also visited the locations where the paratroopers landed. Each visit was accompanied by impressive stories full of historical details, facts and the right dates. It felt like we were in the middle of history. Wim is exactly the type of history teacher that everyone would have liked to have back in the day. He knows how to bring history to life, so you keep listening and want to remember everything. Even our daughters, aged 12 and 16, were captivated all day. He started the tour with a clear explanation of how World War II started and how it eventually led to D-Day. A perfect refresher, also for the children. In addition, Wim is a very sympathetic and enthusiastic man. He was punctual in the morning to pick us up and took all the time for us. The tour didn’t feel rushed anywhere; on the contrary, it even lasted more than an hour because we were so interested and Wim still had so many beautiful stories to tell. In short: this tour was without a doubt one of the absolute highlights of our holiday. Wim combines enormous historical knowledge with passion, humour and personal attention. If you really want to experience and understand the history of D-Day, we can highly recommend a tour with Wim. An absolute must and without a doubt 5 stars!

An amazing day!

Victoria was our guide and she was amazing! When we met up with her we needed a new hotel for the night. She went above and beyond to find an amazing hotel for us. She then gave us a wonderful tour of Mont. St. Michel and the Abbey. She was so knowledgeable about everything. She paced herself due to the walk being difficult. She knew places to rest, get water, and use the restroom. This was a wonderful tour with the most amazing guide. Thank you Victoria!

We had an excellent tour of Mont Saint-Michel with Cecille. She was very knowledgeable and paced the tour to our needs. We would not have understood the history and details of the different rooms and areas in the Abbey without the insights of our guide. She also provided an excellent recommendation for dinner on the island.
