Such a fun experience!

Collin was a fantastic guide down the Athabasca river. Ready to do a class 3 rapids as class 2 we didn’t have to do much which was to be expected since it’s for little kids. But still so much fun and my favorite experience so far in Jasper/Banff vacation.

Great fun, very safe

Being new to rafting, we chose the Canyon Run trip and it was outstanding. We saw 2 bull elk & osprey. Our guide Eric is absolutely stellar. Maligne Rafting has all new rafts, gear and wetsuits for rafters. Despite the 2024 fire, there's plenty of beauty. DO wear a swim suit, you'll completely change clothes into safety neoprene suits. We had great fun.

great family friendly trip down the river

This was such a great expirience. My kids first whitewater adventure (12, 9, &8). it was super low key and not scary at all, but enough splashing and moving water to keep them interested. Wear swimsuits (they give you wetsuits to put on over them), and bring a towel. Molly was our guide and she was WONDERFUL.

Great time on the Athabasca!

We had an awesome adventure with Beth down the Athabasca River. Would 10/10 recommend to other families especially those who are new to whitewater and/or are hesitant around water. Beth, Mason and the whole crew did a great job ensuring that all members of our group felt comfortable, supported and were having fun the entire duration of our time on and off the river.

Know before you go

This is a great destination for wildlife lovers. It’s sometimes possible to spot sheep, elk, and bears at the edge of the river.
Weather can change quickly here, so it’s a good idea to bring layered clothing.
Sometimes rafters get wet even on calm-water float trips. If you’re bringing a camera, consider fitting it with a waterproof case.
