Fantastic Hidden Gems Gion Tour with Edo
Our guide, Edo, is a student studying Japanese culture, so he had a lot of insight into the history and background of the Gion area as well as interactions with geisha. He gave us a very detailed tour of the different areas within the Gion area and also took us to some different shrines. He was able to answer any question that was asked and was also able to tell us about Gion today. In addition, we saw 3 geishas that evening. I would highly recommend taking the Hidden Gems tour with Edo.

Great service!
Excellent communication with the driver who was very friendly, prompt and courteous. Our flight was delayed 90 minutes but that had no affect our service. I texted him immediately letting him know and he texted back right away that it was no problem. Communication is the key on both ends

See where power transfers to the emperor
Tomoya was a terrific guide - he gave very interesting insights and observations to this tour. This is one a few sites in Kyoto with some original structures in place (that haven’t burnt down or been rebuilt) and for that alone I would recommend this tour. I enjoyed it.

Insightful and Entertaining Tour with Liu!
This tour provides detailed information on the history of Osaka Castle. Our guide, Liu, explained how the castle was built, protected, and attacked over the centuries. She did all this with an incredible knowledge of the history and a wonderful sense of humor! We would not have understood the many nuances of the castle and it’s history without Liu. It made for an extremely enjoyable, informative, and entertaining visit!

Food aplenty!
Make sure you're very hungry before you start! We had a broad variety of delicious dishes, from amazing sashimi to dumplings and sea grapes, all in interesting locales.
Our guide was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. And we quickly made friends with the others in our six-strong group. It's an excellent small-group activity.

Amazing evening with Simon
Simon showed us such an amazing time! He was so welcoming and shared lots of information with us about the dishes and the area, but more, he was just an enjoyable guy to spend an evening with. I was particularly touched as my son is very particular in what he drinks, and Simon was kind enough to ask the waitress for a request that was strange to her, but my son loved! You can’t miss on this tour with Simon. I finished the night stuffed, a bit drunk, and with lifelong memories!

Great Day seeing Engoji Temples and Himeji Castle
It was a great experience to see Engoji Temples on Mt Shosha and Himeji Castle and Garden, but it’s a strenuous day to do all 3. We especially loved seeing Engoji Temple used in The Last Samurai. Our guide, Uke, was a very pleasant young man who often provided insights and pulled up helpful information on his phone to show us as well. These 2 sights are a must in Japan!

A+ tour by Omer
Omer delivered a wonderful tour and informative history of the Imperial Family, the history of the role of the shogun, the samurai, and the purpose of the garden. He was able to answer our questions. He was engaging, professional and amiable. He kept to the itinerary even though we were late and he was very gracious about it. Thank you Omer for the excellent tour! A+

Informative and fun class
Instructions for the meeting place were provided but Google send me to the wrong place. Look for the front of the building.
The class was great. He provided information on the sword and defense. He provided the samurai clothes and we snap some pictures/ video during the class.
You will leave learning some skills and smile on your face.

Great host and great sake
First, I must compliment the host of this tasting. Joe was cool, funny, and knowledgeable. He knew everything you could ever want to know about sake, from how it’s made to the best places to buy in Japan. He made the experience enjoyable. The sake was tasty and we tried several different varieties with different profiles. You definitely don’t get cheated with the amount sake.

Tomomi is an excellent...
Tomomi is an excellent local guide who maneuvers around the interests of the guests and any needs that may arise. She and our driver Toshi who is an experienced driver navigated many hidden venues to capture a view of Mt. Fuji, a local sake brewery and an excellent local winery. Many thanks to them for an excellent day despite the rain.

I had such a great...
I had such a great experience with this cooking class in Tokyo. The instructors were incredibly informative and explained everything in a way that felt approachable and easy to follow, even for someone who doesn’t regularly cook Japanese food. What I appreciated most was how accessible the recipes were — nothing felt intimidating or overly complicated, and each step was clearly explained. I left the class feeling genuinely confident and excited to try making Japanese dishes again once I got home. It was both educational and empowering, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a hands-on, thoughtful introduction to Japanese cooking.
