There are only a handful of bioluminescence or bioluminescent bays in the Caribbean, and not many more than that in the world. They only occur in certain places because they only happen naturally under very specific conditions. The water in Bio Bay is very warm and salty with an abundance of nutrients and seagrass, the perfect environment for special microscopic plankton. These plankton occur all over the island, and all over the Caribbean, but the concentration we find in Bio Bay is what makes for a fantastic experience. Because of these plankton “bioluminescence,” it produces a very short burst of light when stimulated by movement. The Bio Bay is best viewed by floating in the water. With snorkeling gear, you’ll float in this magical bay mesmerized as your movements create trails of light in the water. This shimmering light show is awesome, and if the timing and conditions are right, you might even see the mating glow worms which occur two to three days after the full moon.

Weather was overcast and drizzle in the beginning and remained cloudy which maybe affected the bioluminescence but overall Pepe and his team made it fun. We laughed and were informed about certain informational pieces about the island. Overall great time and super super neat. Would definitely like to do this one again!!!! This was definitely an experience to do in the Caymans. The staff was fun and explained everything simply. Water and flavored sodas were provided, definitely pack a few bags of chips if you get snacky or didn't have breakfast! For as big as our group was there was definitely plenty of time to interact with the stingrays. Again, such a fun, beautiful experience. This was a great price considering transportation was included and the multiple stops. My friends and I loved it! Would recommend again

Fun in the sun!

This is a fantastic excursion! We highly recommend it! We did a snorkle stop first and saw lots of fish, coral, and even a couple rays. Our second stop was Sting Ray City which was filled with stingrays swimming all around us. The guides were awesome and experienced in helping us hold them, take pictures, and feed them. Our last stop was Starfish Point with tons of starfish all around to hold but keep under water. The guides even found more for us to see. All around a wonderful day on the ocean and definitely recommend it!!

It’s not often that I say this but this trip was a perfect day from start to finish. Cailom was a fantastic captain and guide. We did the six hour trip and so glad we did! Never felt rushed- had an unforgettable time at stingray city, starfish point, incredible snorkeling on an reef filled with tons of fish (even saw a shark!), great dinner at Kaibo and finished up the night in Bio Bay. We even loved riding home across the bay in the dark back to Canama Bay. Family of four (two teenage daughters) and truly had the BEST time!

PHENOMENAL!! Sheldon took great care of us. The Stingray City experience was worth the entire ticket price!! We were a little disappointed that we didn't get to visit 7 Mile Beach but our tender boat had an early take off time so we ran out of hours to check it out. Great charter experience!

Fantastic experience with Ray Dayz charters and Captain Austin! The boat was really nice and clean with a little cover over the Captain’s area. We departed from Camana bay which was a lovely shopping/dining area and went to stingray bay and the reef and cruised around the crystal blue green water. There was so much sea wildlife to see! Captain Austin was experienced and so knowledgeable and friendly. We were in great hands! Highly recommend!

Great tour of the west end.

This was a fun excursion that would be good for most riders of any experience level. Basically, if you can ride a bike, you will be fine. Our guide was great and even accommodated us showing up quite late due to traffic issues. We made several stops along the about 11 mile loop where our guide would provide some history and point out things of interest. Highly recommend this tour.

Incredible Experience!

Our family had an incredible time! Javahn was a wonderful guide and made the day truly magical! This was our first time booking through Viator and I’m so glad I did - this was the highlight of our whole cruise! We were able to take our time at each spot and Javahn ensured our kids all felt safe and comfortable around the animals - he’s a true stingray whisperer! He also knew we were wanting to find sea turtles and knew just where to go! We ended up snorkeling with them and right over a little lemon shark! He also arranged our taxi back to the ship as we headed back to the dock - perfect timing! Amazing experience! Thanks again!!

Great Experience!

This was a good and fun experience! The crew was very patient, as we had some elderly on our boat. Even though it was a bit windy, the captain took it slow and I didn't feel motion sickness at all! It was a very pleasant ride. All three adventures were fabulous, kissing the stingrays, holding the starfish, and snorkeling! I highly recommend!
