This tour was FANTASTIC! Noel was amazing and so very personable. He shared so much information with us, that helped us understand all the trials and tribulations these people went thru. He even shared stories of his own that had us laughing and enjoying our time together. I would highly recommend this tour and ESPECIALLY Noel, the prefect man for the job!

A very insightful tour of the murals throughout the city. Lots of history related to the troubles and how there is still civil unrest. It was fascinating. Very emotional at times as well. Super cool tour! And Hugh was AWESOME!

Hugh arrived on time and introduced himself to us all. He asked what we were expecting from the experience and he made it 100% informative and enjoyable. He told the story of how the troubles started and explained it in such an unbiased way. He told us a few funny stories as well. Our family group ranged from the age of 31 to 69 and each one of us enjoyed this experience from start to finish.

Hugh, our driver, provided a very interesting tour. He presented fact-based info that help to frame the conflict in a balanced. He didn’t just lecture, he posed questions periodically to emphasize a particular point. He also transported us back to our hotel…an added bonus since it had been raining fairly heavily.

My husband’s favorite tour of the whole trip. It was amazing to see the history told through the art on both sides of the Northern Ireland debate. We enjoyed our guide, Hugh, so much. My father was born in Belfast. His family left Ireland due to sectarian violence in 1922. I've also read extensively about the "Troubles" in the late 20th century, so I wanted to see with my own eyes where the violence and misery that Protestants and Catholics both endured for so long. Hugh was a wonderful and personable guide, extremely knowledgeable about the Troubles. I learned things even beyond the many books I've read; and seeing where it all took place in person made those events come to life for me. If you have any interest in the Troubles and modern Irish history, you will greatly enjoy Hugh and the Troubles Tour. Hugh is gracious and added several anecdotes he personally experienced during those times. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our black cab tour with Hugh. He gave us so much information on the Troubles of Northern Island as someone who lived through it. We wish we had more time with him to hear more stories. I would definitely recommend this excursion to all visiting Belfast.
