Spent a day on a tour around Belfast Northern Ireland. The tour company worked out great. We booked through viator. Amanda our tour guide was very informative. We saw so many ruins of castles and UNESCO world Heritage sites. The Rocky coastline Drive was fantastic. Especially enjoyed the scenic drive through the Glens of Antrim.

Guide was very knowledgeable and informed us of so many things. Enjoyed Giant Causeway very beautiful

Tour guide Amanda and driver John were a great pair. I hope you get them if you book this tour. You need to!

The picture for the excursion shows the rope bridge but you are not near that when you are dropped off. You have about an hour at the causeway which is just about enough time to walk down, or take the bus, and look around at the beautiful rocks and coastline.

Hello Angela
Thank you for your review
Crossing the bridge is not on the itinerary as all tour buses have been denied access to the site from 2022 by the National Trust.
You had 1 hour and 30 mins at the Causeway

Bad guide a lot a of talking about herself no interessant information. All nice prescribed villages were stoppen at far out from the these village. Ended up obligated at a hotel for lunch instead of the prescribed pups in village. Not worth.

Hello Henri
Thank you for your feedback
Sorry to hear you do not rate Amanda as a tour guide
To say we are shocked to hear someone thought Amanda was a bad guide is an understatement. Amanda has worked with us for 12 years and has never received a review below 4 stars. Amanda recieved 13& 5 star reviews from the same tour on both tripadvisor and Google reviews, have a look at our previous review from the same tour.
Sorry to hear you were disappointed about the lunch. At peak season we have to avail of many different places to eat in Ballycastle that can cater for groups depending on availability at the time. Ballycastle is one of the larger towns on the North coast with a population of 4,600 and its attraction is being small and quaint.

Our tour was through Odyssey Tours. Amanda (Guide) and John (Driver) were outstanding. I would recommend Odyssey Tours for seeing the Giants Causeway. We had visited the Giants Causeway two years ago as an excursion through the cruise ship we were on. With Odyssey we saw so much more including a trip through the the part of Belfast with the wall. It was very moving. We appreciated seing this side of Belfast. Thank you.

We headed to Dunluce castle firat for a quick picture stop, then to Giants Causeway. We had a good amount of time there and then stopped in a cute little town for lunch and then another picture stop at a bridge, then drove through some pretty places including the Atrium forest area, the red arch, by 3 caves, and then a driving tour around the outskirts of central Belfast. Ours was a little quicker on some.of the stops because our cruise ship was leaving at 4:30. They got us back to the boat a little after 3pm. The tour guide was great and had a lot of good information and was entertaining.

Wonderful tour. Amanda(tour guide) & John (driver)were awesome. Amanda was very knowledgeable, knows the history of the area well and very entertaining. John played Irish music about a rooster! That was delightful. Giant causeway was awesome! Shows you God's wonder, beauty of creation! We drove through the beautiful Irish countryside. Lots of sheeps, cows grazing on the green pasture, green meadows & rolling hills. What an awesome site to behold!
I just wish we were able to cross the Carrick- a- rig ? bridge. Just saw it from a distance. They said tour buses were no longer allowed to get close to the site. Belfast was ok. I felt sad when Amanda was telling us the history of political/religious divide, that still manifest itself in the city.
Overall this a wonderful excursion. They were on time. There was plenty of time back to the ship. The tour bus was very comfortable with restroom on board.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Money worth spent.

This tour was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Amanda was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to spend the day with. I highly recommend skipping the cruise ship excursion and booking this tour instead. We were picked up right at the dock and dropped back off on time after the tour. You will not regret booking your Giant’s Causeway tour with this company.
Michele_A, Aug 2026
It was a wonderful excursion. Our driver Stephen was so knowledgeable and knew how to get us to the sight seeing before the tour buses arrived kudos for that!!!
Michael_N, Jul 2026
Total misrepresentation. You cannot cross the rope footbridge at all anymore. Even so, the vendor and Viator knowingly use the picture and make you think that’s part of the tour! If you want to spend most of your day in a coach, with brief hop offs to use the bathroom and run through a small town unprepared for lunch crowds, this is your tour.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Hello Michael
Thank you for your review
Sorry to hear you misunderstood the itinerary.
We have a photo of the Bridge because we stop at a view point to see the bridge, we do not state you can cross the Bridge. All tour buses have been denied access to the bridge from 2023.
While we do our very best to avoid crowds on our tours, this is not always possible at peak season when visiting a world heritage site.
Sorry to hear you were disappointed, never nice to hear
Regards

Giant's Causeway was beautiful and majestic. Amazing to see. Amanda and Sean were great as guide and driver. Very little time in Belfast.
Holly_M, Jul 2026
This was a very delightful tour. Our guide Steven was very friendly and very descriptive in what we were seeing! Highly recommend this tour and Steven!
Robert_M, Jul 2026
Amanda (guide) & Brandon (driver) were both awesome! Very enjoyable experience seeing amazing Northern Ireland Coastline and City of Belfast. Fantastic commentary by Amanda. Great stop at a hotel for lunch.
Johnathan_G, Jul 2026
Sit on the left side of the bus you won’t regret it! Love love this tour. Only thing I would have like was more than 1 hour and half on the actual costaway!buy overall worth the price!
Dennis_H, Jul 2026
A fair amount of driving on narrow roads.
Trail options to water. Some are moderate. Beautiful lunch spot
Marci_G, Jul 2026
The tour was good and the driver and guide were nice but they didn’t take us to a few spots promised.
Also, this was booked 3 months in advance and our names were not an any of the 6 busses!
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you for your feedback
The tour was completed from start to finish and nothing was left out
Your name was on the list, you were confused and at the wrong bus
Thank you

Great excursion. Knowledgeable local guide and great coach driver. Had great weather not a cloud in the sky to top it off.
Pam_M, Jul 2026
Paddy (Patrick) was a wonderful guide. He kept us on time without rushing our experience. I do wish we could’ve made it to bushmills but guess I booked the wrong version of the tour. What we did was lovely though and lunch was delicious with a beautiful view. Couldn’t ask for better weather and the AC on the bus was well -appreciated.
sue_m, Jul 2026
Love the smaller group. Guide was knowledgeable and helpful. Only way to go is viator. Have done several with them
Luis_P, Jul 2026
Great view of the giants causeway . Splendid walk and beautiful views. Guide Amanda was knowledgeable and pleasant . Lots of good information

We felt rushed through whole experience. Driver friendly talked to fast to get it all. Drives abit to fast also trying to beat time even. though back early.

Hello Jo Ellen
Your cruise ship was in port for a short amount of time, 2 hours less than normal. We needed to adjust our itinerary to be sure we visited the main sites. Our main priority is getting passengers back to port safe and on time for the ships departure time. Sorry you felt rushed as we done our very best under the circumstances.

Picture shows travelers crossing the rope bridge. This hasn't been allowed since 2020 but still using this photo to get you to book the trip. You don't get any where near it and get photos from nearby cliffs. Despite their assurances that there is a bathroom on board there is not. The tour of the giants causeway is self guided. The bus does not enter the official parking area to save money and your ti get does not include admission to tourist center. Our guide was able to point out all the local bathrooms along the way. He was very knowledgeable with stories of history of the areas we were driving through. Because the cruise ship cut our time short we were unable to enjoy lunch in town. I really expected more stops instead of a drive to and from with narrative. You would be better taking taxi to rope bridge so you could actually cross it and then to the causeway.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Hello Jo Ellen
Thank you for your second review
Crossing the bridge is not on the itinerary.
We do not advertise bathrooms on our buses, mainly because there are no bathrooms on the buses. We drop off at the Causeway about 25 metres from the entrance. Admission to the Causeway visitor centre is optional and not included in the price of the tour. Access to the Causeway is free of charge visiting the centre is an individual choice

You have stated the Cruise ship reduced the ships time in port, this is something we cannot control.

Paddy our tour guide was full of stories and history. He and the driver effortlessly guided us through this day of the beautiful countryside. The Giants Causeway is amazing! We saw the Carrick A Rede rope bridge from a view point. The setting is gorgeous! Lunch was on our own, O'Conners was efficient and delicious! My husband loved the seafood chowder. We drove past the Peace Walls in Belfast. We saw so much on this excursion . It is a good combination of country and city.
Dennis_S, Jun 2026
Tour guide was great. Pick up at the port was easy. You don’t get close to the walking bridge it’s a long ways away for a photo no way to cross the bridge. Still beautiful . Causeway was cool but thought the area was going to be bigger. The lunch was great. The bus ride was great.
Tyson_G, Jun 2026
The way the Causeyway is put together, the stones and geology are unreal and amazing; Nature made that!?! The entire experience was through one of the quaintest and most beautiful parts of Nothern Ireland. I appreciated our guide's sense of humor, depth of knowledge, and general enthusiasm. I appreciated his personal insights into the Troubles and why Belfast is Belfast.
RonaldE_W, Jun 2026
Stephen gave possibly the best Viator tour we have ever had and we have been on many! He was a former driver of the stars and directors of the Game of Thrones series for 6 seasons so his driving skills knowledge and commentary are unmatched. All the stops and places he took us to were spot on beautiful and highly enjoyable. I will highly recommend this tour to our family and friends traveling this way in the future.

This was a great tour. We had plenty of time to see all kinds of things, and never felt rushed. They took very good care of us.
Yunhua_H, Jun 2026
Great value of the tour. It is much lower price than cruise’s tour for the same destination. Paddy knows Belfast and surrounding very well. Very well paced.
