Authentic hospitality and unforgettable experiences
Hisa warmly welcomed us to her gracious historic home and introduced us to her friendly childhood friend from elementary school school. The two taught us how to make traditional delicious dishes in a manners that was authentic, informative and lighthearted. The meal was wonderful and Hisa kindly showed us all around her beautiful house and the Ob Gyn clinic where her father and grandfather delivered over 6000 babies. Everything we learned and saw was full of meaning and beauty,

Highly recommended, excellent day out.
The trip meets at Takayama station and is basically a bus tour to the beautiful villages of Shirakawago and Ainokura, with over three hours at the first and 75mins at Ainokura. Very interesting, plenty to do and very well organised. Shout out for our tour guide Yamashitasan, who did a great job. This place is very different. Highly recommended!

The best tour guide!
We enjoyed this tour thoroughly. The journey was scenic and the sites themselves were breathtaking! The true gem of the trip however, was our tour guide - Mykasa (forgive my misspelling please). He was incredibly kind, patient, helpful and so informative. We got a balanced mix of information on the history and geography of Takayama/The Alps as well as some tips on the culinary scene. He even helped us to see some monkeys and had us dropped right to our hotel. My wife couldn’t stop raving about how amazing he was and how much she loved his stories. Thank you for a wonderful time, Mykasa! We highly recommend you.

Outstanding!
Mizu met us at our hotel and then gave us a half-day tour of the key places we wanted to go. She was amazing and knew so much about the attractions as well as the town in general, history, and the local area. We were truly honored to have her as our guide!

Great way to travel between Takayama and Kanazawa with a stop at Shirakawa-go
If you are travelling between Takayama and Kanazawa with luggage and want to stop and visit Shirakawa-go for a couple of hours on-route, without the stress of worrying about getting your cases onto local buses, or if local buses or coaches have underneath storage areas, this is a comfortable and easy option. Seats recline and there is lots more leg room compared to local buses.

Great Sake Brewery Tour
We really enjoyed our small group Funasaka Sake Brewery tour. Satoe our friendly and expert guide clearly provided the historic context and explained about the different types of rice used in the production and brewing process, before taking us through our tasty and enjoyable sake tasting session. Would definitely recommend this tour.

The tour was amazing, and...
The tour was amazing, and we visited some truly beautiful places. The highlight of the experience was our guide, Florentina. She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and always attentive to everyone’s questions and needs. She truly made the experience unforgettable.
I am a Mexican tourist traveling solo, and I highly recommend this tour—especially Florentina as a guide.
