Excellent full day tour.

A great day out. It is a full 11 and a half hours long from hotel pick up to drop off, depending on your start point. The drive to our lunch stop was 2 and a half hours long (our pick up was 0930hrs). The driver was very smart and the taxi spotless. Lunch was a 3 course set menu which was very nice. The only disappointment was that drinks, even water and soft drinks were chargeable. Otherwise very nice. It is at the restaurant where you transfer to the Safari jeep and meet your guide. It is then a further 30 minutes drive to the park entrance. Once in the park we had a full 4 hours touring which was excellent seeing lots of animals including observing leopards on two separate occasions. Apparently we were lucky to see them in the afternoon tour. Our guide was excellent, spotted loads of things for us to see. We left the park as darkness fell and then a 30 min ride to the restaurant where we picked the same car and driver for the ride back to the hotel. Overall this was a long but thoroughly worthwhile day with plenty of time in the park and it never felt rushed. Would highly recommend this tour.

Great day trip!

Highly recommend this day trip from Colombo to Sigiriya and Dambulla Cave Temple. My driver was great and got me everywhere safely and I had a wonderful guide at Sigiriya to help me get to the top while telling me all about the history. Be prepared for lots of steps but the views from the top and the accomplishment of making it to the top are worth it!

Value for Money - Go for it

A very well planned 3 day trip by Viator. The pacing is comfortable. Mr Arron my driver / guide did his job very well , 10 / 10 to Viator for choosing the right places to visit in 3 days so you get a good tour of important Places outside Colombo . A few points for improvement The Hotel 88th Ella at Ella was comfortable but the dinner was limited to a small set menu ( 4 dishes to choose from ) . If this stay venue can be changed . The Guide at Sigiriya Mr Tushar was no where near the top class guides normally I have encountered with Viator trips. His English was not clear . The guide did not cover the safety aspects when you climb up this treacherous route to the top of the Sigiriya Mountain . He was very casual . There were very strong winds as we climbed up the hill . No safety instructions given by the guide . Also his knowledge of the site was inadequate. This trip is value for Money . Just go for it .

This tour was the perfect introduction to Colombo on our first day in the city. Ramesh was an expert driver and efficient tour guide and managed to show us so many highlights in the brief time we had. He shared many interesting parts of his city with us with levity and humor. To top it off, we finished with dinner of the best chicken kottu roti I had on the entire trip. I definitely recommend this tour!

Day in Galle and south coast with boat trip

Very interesting train ride with views of the coast and people's daily lives! My guide was Kevin (Indika) and he was very kind taking me to the moonstone mine and the mask museum which were optional! The boat trip and the highlight, with crocodile and fish massage. In the afternoon, the sunset closed the day at the Galle fort! Finally, a perfect day with fun, culture, and many landscapes always accompanied by Kevin's attention! Highly recommend!

Great trip to Yala!

This was a great trip that we’d definitely recommend if you’re staying near Galle. We managed to see leopards, elephants, lots of bird varieties, monkeys, deer, buffalo, crocodiles, and lizards, just to name a few. We didn’t think we’d be able to see so much in a day trip, so it was definitely worth it!

Also stopped at other sights if we wished. Recommended good places to eat during the trip. Super nice guy who took good care of us and did everything to make sure we had the best experience possible. Compact well-organized day tour to the absolute highlights

It was a well-organized day trip from Colombo, leading to the highlights of Sigiriya Lion Rocks and Dambulla Cave Temple. I was picked up from the hotel on time. Of course it is a good 2-3 hour drive. But if you don't have time like me, you'll put up with it. A must in Sri Lanka. There were two other options (price surcharge with Jeep Safari and Village Safari with Traditional Lunch). I decided to go on a village safari with an ox cart ride, traditional food and a small boat trip. Everything perfectly organized. A guide led us up the Lion's Rock (1280 steps), but they are easy to do (with smaller breaks). I'm over 60). Great view from up there. After 15H I was back at the hotel (traffic etc). I can recommend this tour, which are limited in time and therefore need it compact. Our driver mastered every traffic jam perfectly
