Nathan was the best!
We had such a great experience! The monkey and sloth was our favorite stop! The chocolate factory and Rum factory was also very interesting! The rum factory had a great view of the island. Our driver was Nathan and he was so great! He recommended a place for lunch that was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend eating at the mutton pepper. Their food was 10/10. Nathan was so patient with us by telling us some things about the island and allowing us to stop and take pictures! I would recommend him and this tour 1000x!

Beautiful Roatan!!!!
Roatan, was very beautiful what I loved about this excursion is we had our own driver so it was a way more personalized experience we did everything in the order that made sense for us for our day I was able to stop and get real authentic Honduras food from the street side opposed to a typical restaurant something that I always like to do is really experience the country natural being as if I live there opposed to tourism. Our driver Kenisa was very sweet answered all our tourist questions made us feel safe and got us back on time to our ship. I would highly recommend booking through this company to do the things included but also to personalize one or two things if you have the time! Beach was amazing on the west side!

Coming out of the port...
Coming out of the port was insane and we didn't know who to look for or where to find them. However, in the pandemonium, there were helpful people that finally got us to the right person from MJ Tours. Initially we were told it would be us and a family of 7 which was upsetting because we expected it to be just us 2 with a driver. Eventually, we were handed off to Tyler and went alone as we hoped. Tyler was excellent. He was kind, told us about the area, drove safely and explained everything to us at every stop. He even stopped at the chocolate store twice for us. We could not have asked for a better young man to take us around and show us his home town. The monkeys and sloths were amazing and the beach was beautiful. The staff at the beach was very kind and attentive and it was nice to be able to enjoy some peace without being bombarded by throes of salespeople. There were a few, but nothing like we had experienced the day before!! All in all, this was a great experience. My girlfriend was worried that we booked outside the cruise line and was really nervous in the pandemonium but she really enjoyed the excursion after we got settled in with Tyler. One recommendation for Viator. Make it extremely obvious who the tour is booked with on location. Telling people we booked with Viator was no good.

Fantastic Tour
We had an amazing day in Roatán thanks to our guide, Dolphus Stanley, a Roatán native who loved to talk and tell stories just like us Cajuns from Louisiana. We connected immediately over music, family, hurricanes, island life, and local culture. He taught us so much about the island’s history, schools, tourism, and traditions, which made the experience feel authentic and personal instead of just another tour.
He also gave us great practical advice throughout the day, including stopping early for family pictures at the big Roatán sign before the crowds arrived and helping us get perfect beach chairs at the Thirsty Turtle on Bananarama Beach. We felt safe, relaxed, and well taken care of the entire time, and the conversations and stories made this one of our favorite cruise excursions ever.

Exceptional customer service and a taste of everything
The tour started outside the port, and we were greeted by the tour guide (Alanis) which was very friendly. She explained the details of the tour and the timeframe expectation. There was no rush at any of the stops, and we were able to enjoy each experience thoroughly.
She even arranged for a snorkeling added “sub-tour”, which really was the “cherry-on-top”. It is highly recommended and we will repeat if we visit again.

This was a day very well...
This was a day very well spent. Only a short drive to/from the port. Christian was our driver. We enjoyed having the van to ourselves. It felt like Christian was our personal concierge for the day. The snorkeling was so beautiful. It was just windy and the current was hard to swim against. Take the life jacket if you’re not a strong open water swimmer.

Texans in Roatan!
Absolutely incredible snorkeling adventure in Roatan, Honduras! Vanessa was amazing — so knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire excursion. She made sure we felt comfortable, informed, and excited every step of the way.
Our snorkel guide, Valentin, was fantastic as well! He made sure we saw the beautiful reef, pointed out amazing marine life, and kept the whole experience fun and enjoyable.
This was easily a 100/100 experience for us. The staff, the reef, and the overall atmosphere were unforgettable. We will definitely be booking again the next time we’re in Roatan!

I booked the tour to...
I booked the tour to start at 10am, but I didn't know the ship time and the local time was different for MSC. So the tour company called me at 10:15am ship time as I thought I still had time for the local 10am tour. Local time was 1 hour before the ship's time, that was very confusing for me. As I didn't get internet on the ship I had to take the phone call which cost me another $18. I guess that's just travel expense. Anyone taking MSC Seascape should watch out for the time difference, need to go with the ship's time. Roatan is not a big place so we were lucky to have a private tour just me and my mom. Our first stop was to see the animals. I can't remember the name of the place, I think it's either Vincent or Victor something. Our guide Irwin I believe took us to see the monkeys first. They really loved to eat the coconut bits, climbed all over my shoulders. My mom enjoyed less as one money got some red thing on her shirt which couldn't wash out after. :D Then we got personal with some parrots. They sat on our heads. At least my mom had her hat on. When the parrot tried to get off my head, it hurt a little bit because of the claws, so I suggest anyone joining the tour should wear hat. The animal place is not too big, we saw a bunch of sloths just chilling, it's easier to take pictures with the sloths as they don't really move. LOL. I saw peacocks, turkey, deer, more monkeys and parrots. Irwin was informative about the animals in the sanctuary. Afterwards the driver took us to the chocolate making place. The chocolate was pretty good. Then we went to the rum cake shop and bought a rum cake for souvenir. The driver explained a lot about the island and we pretty much chatted the entire trip. It's a shorter tour compared to other cruise ports but I still enjoyed a lot with the private experience.

Best snorkeling ever!!
We had an amazing excursion. Denisa was waiting on us at the cruise port and drove us to each destination. She made sure we got to see and do everything we wanted and was super friendly! It was so nice having a private experience versus the tour bus. The best snorkeling experience we’ve ever had….EVER! Smaller groups are the way to go! Highly recommend!!

Great tour, Loved the every part of it!
Great experience! ROA was ready when we got there and it was a small group. Just us and another small family. Loved the monkeys jumping on and around us. It was great to see the sloths as even though you can't hold them anymore because of a law. But you can see them up close. We also spent a couple of hours at a private beach. Our tour guide Norma was great! Would recomend ROA and this adventure to anyone visiting Roatan

Beautiful Roatan
The directions given to find our driver were excellent and easy to follow. Our driver Fred made our day!!! He was easy going and indulged our curiosities about life on Roatan. We headed straight to the beach club where we had lounge chairs under the palm trees. That area is quite touristy but we were still able to relax and enjoy. The water was beautiful and the resort’s swim area was quite large. We decided to eat lunch on the way back to the port. The food, service and view at Mutton Pepper were amazing!!! Then we did a quick stop at the rum store for tastes and the view, followed by a stop at the gas station for 2 six packs of local beer. Thanks to Fred for taking such good care of us!

Private tour with Jerry
We were a group of 4 & arrived at the meeting point about 30 minutes early and found our guide Jerry was already there waiting for us. We had a basic itinerary planned out and after a few minor tweaks (based on Jerry’s advise) headed off. Jerry was awesome! Very knowledgeable and answered any/all questions we had as we drove around the island to the spots we wanted to see. We did a complete loop of the island. Went snorkelling and did rum/rum cake tasting on the west side, shopping & chocolate tasting on north side and hilight of the day was definitely visiting the sloths & interacting with the monkeys at AJ’s Sanctuary on the south side. Our day started around 8:30 and got back to the ship around 2:30.
Terrific day with our awesome guide Jerry!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Even those pressed for time will be impressed with Anchorage’s half-day tours. The city makes a fabulous home base for adventure in any direction: To the north, visitors can explore rivers and waterfalls; to the east, mountains and Alaska’s most well-known state park; to the south, wildlife sanctuaries and famous scenic overlooks; to the west, islands, whale-watching, and more. Half-day tours from Anchorage—be it by bus, car, boat, or kayak—are just enough time to sample the city’s greatest wonders, and they are indeed great.
