Top Puerto Rico Day Trips

Our guide, Seth, was very nice and helpful throughout the tour. We had a great group that made the experience even better but we loved seeing the rainforest, testing out the rock slides and jumping off rocks. Luquillo Beach was beautiful as well and overall, I would do this experience again!

The experience was wonderful. Our guide Ingrid was very knowledgeable and friendly and provided a wealth of information about the rain forest. She made the tour engaging and the opportunity to visit El Yunque and take in the natural beauty was awesome. Would recommend to anyone considering it.

It was soooo fun!!!!!! The ride to the island was smooth besides regular waves that you encounter.. the music was nice! The Crew were very engaging and was making sure that everyone was having a great time!!! The food they had on the boat was good. Icacos island was very relaxing and we got to take our drinks on the beach, which was very nice so we could relax and enjoy our cocktail.. I would definitely book with them again!! If I could give any advice, ride on the top area!! It was great!!!

Very amazing experience. I brought my 7 year old son and he had a blast. Nora was our tour guide and she made the experience a 10/10. I love sea turtles and to see them for the first time made me feel like a little girl again. Definitely recommend snorkeling at culebra!

The loved the kayaking trip. It's a unique experience to add to your Puerto Rico itinerary. At first I was nervous about where to meet them given that they do not have a permanent location on the beach. But, they will up in a large truck with their name on the side hauling about 20 bright green kayaks. You can't miss them! The staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour.

Poor upfront communication with departure times. They did not contact me the day prior as the description said they would, and the pick up time was not made clear as I had been given several different times. However, after I was on the tour, it was a super enjoyable day!! Great guides and smooth transportation. They got me back to my hotel in Old San Juan by the end of the day making my trip logistics easy and the cost of the tour 100% worth it! The bioluminescent bay was incredible even on a day with a bright moon and definitely worth the trip out there!

We did the combined rainforest + bio bay excursion and overall it was such a fun, memorable day. Pickup was smooth and easy, and the ride to El Yunque National Forest was about an hour. Once there, the hike was moderate. Its definitely manageable, but you’ll want to be comfortable walking on uneven terrain. There were a few sections where we had to climb over rocks, and they can get pretty slippery, so good hiking shoes are a must (just know they will get completely soaked during the river portions). Our guides, Bradley and Amauri, were amazing, super fun, energetic, and made the whole experience feel safe and organized. The river portion was a highlight: we did a natural waterslide, rope swing, and a few cliff jumps. They also did a great job taking photos for us, which meant we could leave our phones in the van and just enjoy everything. After the rainforest, we got snacks, drinks, and even beer, which was a nice touch before heading to the bio bay. The second part of the tour was kayaking in Bioluminescent Bay. The kayaking itself was really fun especially being out on the water in the dark, and the stars were incredibly clear. They also provided bug spray, which was appreciated. That said, the bioluminescence was pretty minimal during our trip (we were told it might be due to seaweed conditions), so that part didn’t quite live up to expectations visually. Also, while they mentioned they’d take photos during the bio bay portion, we only received a few low-quality ones, nothing compared to the great photos from the rainforest. Overall, it was a full, adventure-packed day and definitely worth doing. The rainforest portion was the standout, and the guides really made the experience. Just go in knowing the bio bay visibility can vary depending on conditions.

We had an amazing time! Because of choppy waters, we were diverted to another beach, but it didn't stop anyone from having a good time. There were plenty of water toys and the water itself was warm and inviting. The lunch was also pretty good, offering chicken sandwiches and burgers. The on-board drinks were also wonderful. As a whole, my family was very well taken care of, and I would definitely recommend East Island Excursions. Their crew was attentive and extremely helpful!
