All Northern Ireland Tours & Excursions in 2026

The Black Taxi tour of Belfast was the last experience I had before heading to the airport, wrapping up a 2-week solo trip bopping around Ireland and learning about my family's heritage. I visited the Ulster Museum for the special exhibit on The Troubles, which was very well done, but I now know it barely touched the surface. My tour guide, John, was communicative and picked me up on time. I can unequivocally say that this was THE highlight of my entire trip as it opened my eyes to the Troubles and the gravity of its ongoing nature. I was humbled to discover how little I knew about this and how tense things still are. John started the tour by letting me know we had a lot to pack in and that he'd be sending me loads of pictures and links to further material (which he made good on, and then some). This gave me the ability to put my phone away and be fully present. His personal experience and knowledge is incredible and I'm so grateful to him for sharing that with me. I will absolutely be looking to John on my return trips to Belfast and am so grateful I left feeling a touch more enlightened and with a hunger to learn more. Thank you so much, John! Worth every penny and then some.

The driver Stuart made the trip for us, he has excellent customer service and really makes you feel welcome. He has great knowledge of the surroundings and gives an excellent narration whilst driving. His driving was safe and the coach was very comfortable. The tour itself is very long but has sufficient breaks, and the attractions are well worth a visit. Great value for money. The scenery is worth the money alone.

We took the morning tour (Fri 16th Oct) the driver was excellent, he was very informative on the various locations on the way to the Causeway. Heed his excellent advice on walking down to the stones and getting the bus back up. We had a coffee/snack and used the facilities in the Hotel, which was superb. He pointed out various locations on the way back into Belfast mentioning restaurants and bars. In a snapshot - Very information, excellent craic and would do it again!

ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING! Allow enough time to see it all. The background history at the beginning gives good information but the exhibits towards the end are amazing. The ride experience gives a good interactive experience, but I wouldn't do it if the wait time is huge or you're short on time.

WELL DONE! Incredibly curated experience - good for fans of the GOT series, but also for anyone interested in film or tv. Has great information on production, design, scoring, costuming, and has a great opening sequence to the exhibit. One down side: I attended with a fan of the show, where I had not seen it. I loved the exhibit as an overall fan of museums and history - which this certainly falls into. However I found myself wondering for details on how many episodes were filmed in the building etc, and it wasn’t until I met a very helpful staff member in the gift shop that I learned that much of what I had seen was original sets, that 33% of the entire series was shot inside the building and that at least three of the major scenes/sets you see were original and almost fully intact. I wish the text panels had conveyed that information more clearly- it would have added to the overall experience for a non-fan who is more interested in the overall history of the space. The costumes are incredible and in general - this is a don’t miss!

This was an outstanding tour. We originally thought we would just read up on it ourselves and then go look at the murals and the wall, since we have a rental car, but we decided at the last minute that it would be easier to do this rather than find out way around. We did it for convenience but found that in terms of the education and really having the situation impressed upon us, this was excellent and we DEFINITELY left with a much deeper understanding than some Wikipedia entries ever could have given us. Highly recommend. Tour guide was informative and engaging, and shared his personal experiences growing up in the area, which added so much. Thank you!

Excellent in-depth overview of the "The Troubles," from inception to current situation, by someone who lived through much of it. Jake provided a very fair and unbiased exploration of life in Belfast's Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods, as well as how it related to life in Ireland in general.

Tips: Sit on the right side of the bus and bring a wind breaker - this trip was fantastic. Our driver Stephen was incredibly knowledgeable of the local lore and had planned our trips around the big tours in order to avoid traffic. He was super fun to be around, and gave a great tour!
