Being on the water on a canoe is a great relaxing experience and a great way to explore the hidden gems of Amsterdam East. The areas we will paddle are quite on the water, especially in the morning. We'll take it easy, young and old will be able to keep it up. There is a speed trap somewhere along the waterway, I'll challenge the restless among you to have a go! There's no need to fear to get a wet suit, but of course you cannot prevent some splashing drops your fancy shoes. Don't wear your best shoes & pants, don't bring laptops and other things that don't particularly like water. There will be dry bags to put some things, but better safe then sorry. The ending point is a small swim spot for locals, feel free to hang out after our tour!

Canoe the canals of Holland’s Waterland region at sunset on this 4-hour trip from Amsterdam. Travel with a guide to this rural area, and paddle past reed beds, meadows and picture-postcard villages. Savor the sound of birdsong and scents of wild flowers, glide through landscapes once painted by Rembrandt, and learn how the flat countryside was reclaimed from the sea. Take a swim if the weather allows, and finish with a picnic dinner overlooking a lake and the area’s wooden windmills. Numbers limited to 10 people for a small-group experience.
