Fantastic food tour in Bilbao
Gonzalo did a fantastic job telling us about the food as well as highlighting the history in Bilbao. His love for the area as well as the food and drink was very evident. Gonzalo was prompt, very personable, and took time to answer all of our questions. We never felt rushed and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.

Group trip to discover fascinating places
Very nice excursion with very fascinating towns and cities. Given the significant traffic at the border with France, the visit to Hendaye was skipped, no big deal because we had more time for the other 3 places. I found the same guide (Wallace) from the other excursion taken the day before and that really pleased me because, as written in the other review, he is definitely a capable guy.

Group trip in the Basque Country
Definitely a nice day trip with many interesting things seen, Gaztelugatxe in particular was beautiful, truly a very fascinating place. The guide Wallace was very good, a young guy but truly very capable and quite qualified who speaks several foreign languages very well and does his job with passion.

Fantastic trip visiting 3...
Fantastic trip visiting 3 great locations, led by a very knowledgeable guide. The walk to the hermitage was hard going, but gave incredible views. Mundaka was a lovely little village, and it was great to see all of the people surfing. Our visit to Guernica coincided with a festival, so we only saw the ceramic representation of the Picasso and the Guernica tree due to the number of people in the town.
Overall a really good trip and I would certainly recommend.

Our guide was very personable and easy to talk to. She was very knowledgeable of art, the city of Bilbao and the museum. Her insight made the visit much more enjoyable and I appreciated her perspective and insight. I would recommend anyone visiting Bilbao to experience this tour.

If you do just one tour while in Basque Country…
What a great tour - it far exceeded our expectations. Our guide for the day was Asier. We can’t say enough about Asier …he is professional, friendly, funny and super-knowledgeable about Bilbao, the Basque region and history, La Rioja and wine production. He speaks perfect English and answered all of our many, many questions. We were a small group of 5 and the whole day flowed really well. We stopped at 2 wineries - one large (Bodegas Luis Cañas) and one small (Bodegas Tritium) and had wine tastings and bread, cured meats and cheese at both. At both stops we had a tour and a talk by a winery employee. Anna at the first stop was amazing - I wish we had more time to learn so much more from her. The lady at the second stop (I can’t remember her name, sorry) was just as passionate about the subject but her English was not as proficient so it was a little difficult to understand some of her explanations. After the wineries we went on to the very pretty town of Laguardia for a very pleasant lunch. It was my partner’s 70th birthday that day and Asier very thoughtfully arranged for the restaurant to present a dessert with a candle in it …very kind. In all of our years of travel this tour was one of the best that we have done. Highly recommended.

Javier is the man to see
Just an outstanding tour! Javier was amazing! The tour included discussion of the outside of the building, the impact on Bilbao, special stories about the view, himself and the art inside he covered all the high points. His personality and special insights from 16 years of doing tours was just incredible worth visiting the inside and the outside with a personal tour 100% and Javier is the man to see.

What I’d recommend on your first day in Bilbao
Quite a lot of pinchos to get through, so don’t come after a big meal. Great way to get settled into the city if this is your first visit. You may not like everything you try, although I enjoyed it all, but at least you have a quick intro to Bilbao, pinchos culture and where to go on your own.

Knowledgeable Guide!
David was charming, enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable. I learned a lot about Bilbao's history, old and new. He also shared with us some great tips on places to go. For example, he suggested El Globo, and the salmon mousse pintxos there were lovely. David is a wealth of interesting information!

100% recommended, would definitely do it again!
We had a wonderful day. It was a very enjoyable experience and our guide, Stephane, was extremely kind and knowledgeable. He made the trip a real pleasure. He was fun and super informative. He also repeated everything both in Spanish and English, which was super kind of him. ¡¡¡Gracias Stephane!!!

Great value day out
This was a great trip as a taster of the French Basque region.
Our guide, Aitor, gave us just the right amount of information at each stopping point and then we had some free time to explore or grab a coffee/lunch etc
The three towns were lovely, but different.
Excellent value for money
