What are people saying about Bilbao

Highly recommend this trip!
This was a fantastic tour, our guide Ardur gave so much information about the Basque history. The walk up to Dragonstone is strenuous! Especially the path back up after you get to the bottom, but well worth it! Lunch over the beach was lovely and then the history of Guernica was very heartbreaking, it’s a beautiful town.

This is a great...
This is a great experience and a very good value. We learned about the history and culture of the Basque region from our guide Aitor, all the while traveling in a comfortable coach (thanks for the great driving Mati!) to four interesting and diverse locations. The scenery is beautiful and the coastline truly spectacular.

Our guide was friendly,...
Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history, culture, and life in the Basque Country. We booked the day trip from Bilbao, knowing very little about the region. It was a full day and after driving in the rain through the beautiful countryside, we were lucky to arrive in San Sebastián where it was dry, and the sun occasionally came out. ( unfortunately the downpour diid not allow us to walk around Getaria) We learned so much about Basque Country, its historic past and its pride in a very strong identity, which we hadn't realized was separate from Spain or France. We were introduced to the culinary culture of the bar hopping lunch of Pinxchos, totally opposite our rushed lunch of coffee and a snack. Adur was an excellent guide and a careful driver. We highly recommend this day trip if you are spending a few days in Bilbao.

Perfect Ending to our Trip
Our guide Jose Luis was without a doubt born to unveil his world to others. There is a passion in his explanations, without being overwhelming, in his ability to impart his experience and knowledge about Spain but in particular the Basque Country. He is above all else a gentleman in the way he cares for his clients. The three main places we went to were all different. From the dramatic vistas of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, to the traditional fishing towns of Bermeo and Mundaka, and the lovely historical town of Guernica (Gernika-Lumo). Just be prepared with an umbrella and/or a raincoat. Just like Ireland, Northern Spain is emerald green due to the abundance of rain. Nonetheless, we had a magnificent day. We highly recommend the tour and our amazing guide Jose Luis.

Scenery, wine and food
Make sure to have a breakfast and liquid before you start this tour, as you can easily over imbibe drinking before lunch. Each winery had bread, cheese, cured meat and water available; take advantage of these. Eating and drinking water while tasting wine can enhance your sense of smell and taste creating new flavors to experience.
The tour guide/driver was very knowledgeable on local history and the wine guides knew their products and wine history.

Great trip to San Sebastian and Basque Coast
This private tour was everything it was advertised to be.
Zack picked us up right at our hotel in a beautiful luxury sedan and drove us from Bilbao to a morning walking Tour of San Sebastian. We saw the beaches, the kayak surfers, the bay, the marina, the fresh market. All before it became too crowded.
Then we set out for the fishing town of Getaria for some walking and touring before he brought us to a waterside outdoor restaurant for grilled fish, which we simply loved!! You can practically watch the chef cook your fish at the outdoor grill situated just at the front of the restaurant.
After lunch we were brought to a geological park along the Atlantic coast that shows rock formations that are millions of years old. This region was featured in the last season of the Game of Thrones saga.
In summary, this was a private tour and was exactly what we wanted. No large groups with a guide wearing a headset and you listening to their distorted voice coming thru cheap earbuds; the flexibility to stop for a restroom whenever we needed it; the luxury to have a wonderful and relaxing outdoor lunch and to be able to text Zack whenever we were ready to be picked up; and to have his ear when we had questions, not having to share him with many other tourists and not having to fear monopolizing his time when others also want some attention.
If this is the type of experience you are seeking, look no further than this tour option!!

Such a worthy tour! Our...
Such a worthy tour! Our knowledgeable guide Pedro showed us the awesome environs of Bilbao. We hiked, walked through charming towns, ate good food, tasted wine, learned about Basque’s history and culture, and gained a lot of awesome impressions. Good vibes with the group, approachable guide, and variety of experiences. Worth your money and highly recommended.

This was our second tour...
This was our second tour with Stefan. He has a deep and broad knowledge that brings not only the places to life but the journey in between (and a quirky sense of humour to boot!). Loyolla is fascinating, if compact, being the beginnings of the Jesuit order. Getaria is a nice break in the journey to San Sebastian. San Sebastian is incredible and probably deserves at least a whole day to itself, if not a stay in its own right.

Fun and educational small group tour of Gaxtelguatxe, Seemed, and Guernica
Fantastic tour to the area around Bilbao. We highly recommend Stefane and his tour company for this excellent small group tour! Stefane was very knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining and he went out of his way to explain everything in English and Spanish. We learned a lot but also had enough free time to hike Gaxtelguatxe, explore Bermeo, and get a taste of Guernica. We strongly recommend this tour if you will be in Bilbao for a few days.

Great opportunity to visit French site of the Basque Country and the amazing city of San Sebastián!

A worthwhile few hours with Íñigo
We had a wonderful private tour withi Íñigo. It wasn’t about “checking off” tourist sites but rather about getting a real sense of this beautiful city. We walked a lot and saw a great deal, and his narrative was illuminating and fascinating. We recommend him without hesitation.

Bad weather, great communication.
We were not able to go on this tour due to weather. I gave it a 5 because the communication with the tour operator was very clear and timely. We were given a refund. The tour operator also recommended several places we should visit, on foot, while in Balbao.
