Top Zhangye How to Get Around

As a key part of the Silk Road, Hexizoulang(Corridor on the west bank of the Yellow River) is the parth connecting the mainland to Xinjiang. Zhangye, Jiayuguan and Dunhuang are the pearls along the corridor. You will see splendid landforms from Yadan, Danxia to the Gobi, Desert and even an oasis. History and culture are well presented too, murals in Dunhuang doesn't speak a word, but it says everything. Having a dialogue with the history for the continous 2000 years there is the dream of many from all over the world.

It is known as the Rainbow Mountain with an area of 529 square kilometers, it's the best place for tourism, painting, photography and science education, once you are in Zhangye pls never miss the rainbow Mountain, it gained the China's top seven most beautiful Danxia landforms. Zhangye is a small city, pls better book the tour 1 week ahead so we can find English speaking guide easily.

Duration: 4 to 6 hours Useful Tips: 1) Pack with sun creams, sun glasses, protective clothing and hat to protect from strong sunlight in summer; 2) sunset is the best time for taking photos which happen around 19:00~20:30 in summer and 17:00~18:00 in winter.
