Top trip

It was a fantastic day. Pick up in Bucharest, then off to the mountains. We had a short comfort break to grab some breakfast and coffee then we went along the Top Gear road up to the lake. Unfortunately it was foggy, but the food in the tent was amazing. On the way up and down we saw 6 bears. A photostop and pause at the dam before heading back. 12 hour trip and worth every penny.

Spectacular views and a great day tour

We had a fantastic time of this tour. We enjoyed wonderful views of Balea Lake and the ‘Top Gear’ road. We were so lucky to see bears on our way up and down including babies! It is a long journey and the winding rounds may affect you if you suffer from travel sickness- definitely take some medication prior to the tour. Our guide was Pedro who was knowledgeable and helpful. A really great day trip - the views were spectacular. Would highly recommend!
