This is a private whisky tour to your choice of distilleries in the Speyside or Highland regions. There are numerous distilleries to choose from; we recommend participating in one full distillery tour, where an experienced staff member will guide you through the different stages of the production process. Afterward, you will enjoy a tutored tasting of the final product. Following a stop for lunch, we will visit another three or four distilleries where you can enjoy tastings at the bar, guided by an experienced bartender.

In Dornoch, explore a town steeped in history, home to a 13th-century cathedral, a beautiful sandy beach, and the world-famous Royal Dornoch Golf Club. Walk quaint streets and soak in the Highland charm. Finally, we arrive at Dunrobin Castle, a fairytale fortress with lavish rooms, stunning gardens, and an exhilarating falconry display. We’ll explore the impact of the Picts on this majestic landscape. Known as ‘Picti’ by the Romans, meaning ‘Painted Ones’ in Latin, these northern tribes constituted the largest kingdom in Dark Age Scotland. 13th century Fortrose Cathedral with a brief stop at Chanonry Point to see if we can spot any dolphins. Then on to Groam House Museum to learn about their collection of carved Pictish stones from the 8th century AD. On to Cromarty. An enchanting wee town, perfect for a brief wander and a coffee before boarding the ferry and off to explore the Pictish sites and stones at Nigg, Shandwick and Hilton of Cadboll. Look at for random mermaids!! There’s a great lunch opportunity here before continuing on our journey to meet a Pictish Queen at The Tarbat Discovery Centre, Portmahomack, the epi-centre of the 8th century Pictish monastic estate. We can take a quick diversion out to see Tarbat Ness lighthouse before taking in our final Pictish stone of the day, the Edderton Cross Slab.

A dram fine day out from Inverness exploring three of our finest local distilleries and their exquisite whiskies We'll head south from Inverness, to THE CAIRN DISTILLERY, situated beautifully on the banks of the River Spey and in the shadow of the Cairngorm Mountains. Here we'll explore one of Scotland's newest and most modern distilleries We return north towards Inverness and nip off the A9 at TOMATIN DISTILLERY. We can take their Legacy tour, or simply enjoy a dram or two in their tasting rooms. A late lunch at the wonderful 3 Bridges community owned cafe in Tomatin then north once again on the A9. Bypassing Inverness we take the Kessock Bridge over the Beauly Firth and head west along its northern shore to Muir of Ord, home of GLEN ORD DISTILLERY and the SINGLETON MALT. Here we can enjoy their Classic tour or simply sample some of their fine malts in the distillery's comfortable and contemporary tasting rooms. 1 or 2 distillery tours plus 1 or 2 tastings.
