Day Trips from Surabaya to Central Java

History buffs visiting Surabaya won’t want to miss Trowulan, the off-the-radar archaeological site that houses the most important remnants of the Majapahit Kingdom, one of Southeast Asia’s greatest empires. The site is tricky to reach, but this small-group tour makes it easy, with pickup from your hotel or the port, a local lunch, bottled water, and site entrance fees included. Cruise passengers may join a small group with others from their ship.
