Top Side Day Trips

Brilliant fun all day long! This was great fun bouncing around off road in jeeps. This is absolutely not a relaxing day trip, if you have a bad back or nervous disposition this isn't for you. If you don't mind being bounced around, engaging in water fights and dancing to loud turkish music then you will live this tour! You get picked up at your hotel and driven to the meeting point, you are recommended to stand up in the jeep... I second this, it's much more comfortable than sitting! You will be driven off road and very fast to the a couple of photo opportunities, water fights and eventually a restaurant where you can purchase refreshments. There is a opportunity to swim in the green lake... it was very cold! Then you will be driven more off road, eventually to another restaurant for lunch (chicken or fish with rice, chips & salad) lunch is ok, not great but ok. Drinks are extra (3euro for coke, 1 euro for water). Then the boat trip, which is a round trip round the lake, stopping off for another swim break. Finally to the waterfalls, this costs an additional 1 euro per adult for entry, once inside there is a gorgeous turkish ice cream stand that has wonderful ice cream! Then it's back to hotels. It's a full day of loud music, dancing, entertainment by your hosts, bouncing around in a jeep and lots of laughter! We absolutely loved it, but I could see a few in our group were struggling with the bumpiness and loudness. Take extra cash for a bandana if you dont have one, it's very dusty and windy. Take cash for drinks and ice cream. They also sell a USB with all the photos and videos from the day for 40 euro, it's up to you if that's good value, we chose not to purchase but plenty of others did. Highly recommend, we paid around £44 total for two adults including lunch and the boat trip. We spend another £12 on drinks, ice cream and tge waterfalls - a very good value day out!

From the pick up from our hotel to the drop off back there, it was a really good day with good engagement between Captain Murat and his crew on a really nice boat, really nice lunch and reasonably priced drinks. Just book it and have a great leisurely day on the water.

This was a really nice day out on the boat with several swimming stops to enjoy. The food was really nice and made fresh on the boat. We had the chicken, bulgar wheat and there was a lovely green pepper type bean 🌶️ not spicy. Beautiful flavours. Drinks and snacks were reasonably priced and the price for the photos is what you'd expect from a tourist experience.

The tour began with a 8.45 minibus pick up from our hotel with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. My daughter and I were the only English people (there was also one Slovak) so the guide skilfully provided all info in German and in English. We stopped at a Manavgat service station to use the loos (there are few toilets in the mountains!) and got on the road out of the city. The guide told us all about the agriculture and wildlife in the region. The driver navigated us carefully around very steep roads and hairpin bends, even stopping to remove a baby tortoise from the road at one point. There were a few welcome stops for leg-stretches and photo-taking in the mountains on the long way to the cave. Once there, we donned hard hats and were taken around the illuminated underground lake on an inflatable dinghy, ten at a time, by a cheerful oarsman. The cave lake is truly unique: spectacular and unforgettable. We then travelled to Ormana village for an excellent buffet lunch, included in the price, which was fresh and delicious. The lunch place had a brilliant view - we bought ice creams and sat in the swing in their garden, then looked around the tiny village with its beautiful unique historic architecture (button houses). Our final stop was another village with a fascinating historic disused wooden mosque and abandoned school (there is now only one child in the village). We took tea there, served by the child’s family, who also have a small shop selling local herbs, oils, honey and trinkets and a small display of historic domestic items. The journey home was a speedy motorway route. The whole tour was 8 hours and great value for money. There was a great atmosphere throughout, thanks to our guide and driver. We saw a very different side to the region than we saw in the towns / hotel areas. Highly recommended tour! We learned a lot and we saw a lot of nature and history and we had a lot of fun. Thank you!
