Modern Nur-Sultan is a planned city, much like other planned capitals. After it became the capital of Kazakhstan, the city cardinally changed its shape. The Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa designed the master plan of Astana. As the seat of the Government of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan is the site of the Parliament House, the Supreme Court, the Ak Orda Presidential Palace and numerous government departments and agencies. It is home to many futuristic buildings, hotels and skyscrapers. Nur-Sultan also has extensive healthcare, sports and education systems.

This one takes you to Taiburyldyn Shabysy Ranch, a working horse ranch build around three horse breeds, a kitchen that produces three meals a day from scratch, and a private sauna on the property. You'll ride in the morning along the river, eat a traditional Kazakh meal at the ranch, then ride out in the afternoon to the mausoleum of Kabanbai Batyr, dedicated to Kazakhstan's most significant historical heroes, and one most visitors never reach. Alzhir - Akmola camp for the wives of traitors of Motherland - one of the largest camps of the Soviet Union and one of the three "islands" of the "Gulag Archipelago". The camp was opened at the beginning of 1938, when it received the first stages of the prisoners - mostly members of the families of traitors. According to incomplete data, the number of repressed exceeded 18,000 convicts. It is located 40km west of Nur-Sultan, so you will have an opportunity to drive through the endless Kazakh steppe. Today, the museum-memorial complex includes the following objects: A train carriage from Stalin’s time for transportation of prisoners. The museum building The Wall of memory with names of more than 7,000 women spends their term in Alzhir camp.
