A great island to visit, but overpriced

The actual island itself is lovely to spend the day at - some good hikes with amazing panoramic views, and a good spot for seeing sea turtles whilst snorkelling (depending on conditions/visibility). Even if you didn’t have snorkelling equipment included, they offered stinger suits for free for anyone that wanted one. So I have no fault with the overall experience! I just think that over $100 for just the transfer is very overpriced.

Great Fitzroy Island day trip

We really enjoyed our time in Fitzroy island We did the hike to the lighthouse and summit and did some swimming at Nudey beach. It was a beautiful place. The only negative was the ferry service emailed us the day before and pushed back the start time by 60 or 90 minutes with no good explanation.

An excellently organised, once in a lifetime trip!

I went on this day trip with my Mum when we visited Cairns. Would highly recommend visiting Fitzroy Island, it’s a place like no other. The tour was very well organised and good value for money we did a full day, GBB and hired snorkelling equipment. Definitely worth the trek over to Nudie Beach and we enjoyed the food and drink at Roxie’s bar. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable.

One beach on Fitzroy Island is called Nudey Beach. Despite its name, it is not a nudist beach, so keep that bathing suit on. There are no legal nudist beaches in Queensland.
