Top Menton Cultural Tours

Many French Riviera and Monaco tours make a short pitstop in Menton, but there’s much more to the coastal town than you can fit into a whistle-stop tour. This half-day walking tour lets you slow down and savor Menton’s laid-back atmosphere and Mediterranean views. See a side to Menton that most travelers miss, including historic landmarks, baroque churches, and Belle Epoque mansions, as well as panoramic viewpoints and hidden WWII sites.

An unusual and gentle hike from the seaside to the perched village of Roquebrune, with a visit to this medieval town and Grimaldi's Castle, then a little further up to an Exceptional Park offering orgasmic views. Most French Riviera visitors miss this spectacular, characteristic and perched village, with one of the most suggestive and extensive view over Monaco, Provence and Italy. We will take you to one of the oldest castles in France (11th century) where illustrious pages of Grimaldis of Monaco History was written. Let us show you Roquebrune-Village, in the footsteps of writer Romain Gary and other artists, and feel the poetry that emanates from it. Don't miss the monumental tree: the largest, most beautiful and proudest olive tree on Earth (and one of the oldest, dating back 2000 years), and a park with numerous bunkers from the Second World War. A unique, unusual and extraordinary place (highly recommended between 14 December and 7 January for its living nativity scenes).

Soak up the cheerful yellow facades, turquoise waters, and golden sunshine of Menton on a relaxed private walk designed for great photos and delicious grazing. Begin at the lively Marché des Halles right on the Italian border. Dive straight into local snacking with warm, golden barbajuans—crispy pastry pockets stuffed with greens and ricotta—alongside fluffy Ligurian focaccia, pissaladière, and regional olives. Next, celebrate the town's famous fruit with sweet and savoury citrus tastings, from artisan lemon preserves to an icy glass of fresh citronnade or chilled limoncello. From the market, follow your private guide through vibrant pastel lanes via a gentle, low-incline route that skips the steep stair climbs. Head up to the pebble-mosaic terrace of Saint-Michel Cathedral to snap the ultimate postcard panorama overlooking the azure bay, colourful beaches, and the Italian coastline before wrapping up along the sunny waterfront.
