Taekwondo Park

Jeonju
Taekwondo Park
  • The martial arts complex is massive—it’s almost the size of New York City’s Central Park—so you may want to familiarize yourself with the layout ahead of your stay. The official website features an interactive map with the option to take a virtual tour.

  • Taekwondo philosophies are imbued in every aspect of the park’s construction. The facilities are grouped into three themes—body, mind, and spirit—and divided by the colors of the Taekwondo belt. There is even an outdoor sculpture garden based on poomsae, attack and defense forms.

  • Don’t miss the National Taekwondo Museum, which contains 5,000 taekwondo-related artifacts ranging from ancient times to the present. It’s a great place to understand Taekwondo’s incredible history and relevance to Korea’s rich cultural heritage.
