What sets our tour apart? We don’t do big buses, generic stops, or rushed itineraries. This tour is all about small groups (max 8 people), local insight, and a relaxed vibe where there’s actually time to enjoy the view — not just snap a photo and move on. We’ll take you from Svolvær to the best of western Lofoten — Reine, Hamnøy, Sakrisøy and Å — plus a few of our favorite photo stops and viewpoints along the way. The itinerary is flexible and adjusted to weather and group energy (because no one wants to walk on a beach in sideways rain). We don’t recite Wikipedia facts or call every beach the “Copacabana of Lofoten.” Instead, we share what it’s really like to live year-round on these remote Arctic islands. We use personal headsets on our tours. You’ll travel in a modern, comfy minivan with a local guide, enjoy hot drinks, something sweet (yes, Kvikklunsj!), and good company. This isn’t just a sightseeing tour — it’s a road trip with locals who actually live here. Come join us!

The tour starts in front of Pirbadet. It continues to a modern part of the city called Solsiden where many locals spend their free time enjoying themselves outside the cafés and restaurants. We proceed along the river Nid and the colorful warehouses. After that we head to one of the oldest areas of ​​the town – Bakklandet – which has managed to preserve its charming wooden architecture. In Bakklandet is where you also find the world's only bicycle lift. We leave Bakklandet behind crossing over the famous old town bridge with "The Portal of Happiness". Then we arrive at Nidaros Cathedral, Norway's national monument. Nidaros Cathedral is built over the tomb of St. Olav, Norway's patron saint. We carry on to the Market Square (Torget). Here, the Viking King Olav Tryggvason, the city's founder, is enthroned above the vibrant square in the shape of a statue. Our next stop is Stiftsgården, the royal residence, and passing Britannia Hotel before heading back to the harbour.

Your guide, Gunnar, will come and get you at your location in Leknes and you will start exploring Lofoten right away. Sit back and relax in your private car. Here you will have a panoramic view of the dramatic peaks, the crystal- clear water, and the white sandy beaches that are typical for Lofoten. We have planned several stops along the way, and we can make as many extra stops as you want. We will explore the unique landscape, visit beaches ranked as the most beautiful in the world and have a closer look at the small fishing villages where you find the traditional red and yellow wooden fisherman’s cabins. You will have the chance to taste some local food and your guide will tell you about the history of Lofoten and how people now live their lives in this arctic part of the world. Hopefully, we also get to see some wildlife during our drive.

Norway’s Sjoa River swirls with white water, making it an exhilarating place to raft. This thrilling rafting trip, led by professional guides, includes a 15- to 18-kilometer journey through class III to IV rapids. After the trip you’ll return to base, where you’ll have a hot shower and lunch. The trip ends with a slideshow of the day’s adventure.
