Bordeaux is world-renowned as a food and wine capital—and this immersive, small-group tour is the perfect way to get acquainted with its gourmet side. In the afternoon, meet your guide in central Bordeaux, and set off on foot. You’ll visit independent food businesses; taste pastries, wine, cocktails, and charcuterie; and learn about Bordeaux’s culinary history and culture. Tastings may vary by season and day of the week.

Bordeaux is known for its world-famous wines and traditional French gastronomy, and this tour is ideal for visiting foodies. Better still, we invite you to put yourself in the shoes of the winemaker and create (assemble) your ideal wine. During this interactive wine tasting activity, your sommelier guide will introduce you to the tasting technique and tell you various surprising stories about wine. Cheese, wine and baguettes are the "holy trinity" in France. Start your tour with a visit to one of the most unique boulangeries in the world. Using an oven built in 1765 under King Louis XV, you'll sample a number of local and regional specialties while learning about traditional French bread-making. Afterwards, you'll do a deep dive into the immense world of French cheese. Did you know there are seasons for cheese? Or why brie tastes better in France? We'll discuss the impact of aging, different animal milks, when to eat the rind and offer our professional guidance on how to select cheese on your own. Coupled with an extensive wine pairing, you'll also gain a solid understanding of French wine as well as fundamentals for pairing cheese and wine together. With a minimum of 8 cheeses (and more for larger groups), this tour often doubles as lunch for most people.

The medieval town of St Emilion is a UNESCO World Heritage Site at the heart of Bordeaux’s prestigious wine region. For wine lovers of all colours! Explore the vineyards of Bordeaux and visit two wineries off the beaten track: one in the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation and the second in the magnificent Entre-deux-Mers region, and taste at least 6 wines. After meeting your local Bordeaux guide, you will visit a first property in the Entre-deux-Mers region. This is a magnificent region known for the diversity of its wines. Once you have visited the facilities, you will taste several wines of different colours. The tour continues in the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation. Once you've visited this estate, which is very different from the first, you'll taste several wines (red and white), some of the best in the Bordeaux wine region. An original way to discover the richness of the Bordeaux wine region off the beaten track! 1:50pm: Meet in front of the Cité du Vin (Wine Museum). Your guide will welcome you and explain the day's programme. 2pm: departure. The half-day tour begins with a visit to a certified organic Pessac-Léognan winery. You'll learn how the wines of this region are made, visit the vat room and barrel cellar, before tasting the estate's wines (red and white, 2 minimum). Then we'll cross the Garonne river to discover another part of the Bordeaux vineyard: Entre-deux-Mers. Nicknamed "Little Tuscany", this is a hilly region that produces a wide variety of wines. You will visit a second wine estate, followed by a tasting of at least 3 wines (different colors). At the end of the day, you'll have discovered a little-visited part of the vineyard and enjoyed wines that are very different from one another. An excellent way to discover the diversity of the Bordeaux vineyard! 6.15pm: return to Bordeaux (+/- 15 min.).
