I have a wonderful time in Yangon. The pagodas are beautiful. The people are friendly and kind. Food is great. I feel safe exploring the city. It is a pity that the foreign tourists are avoiding Burma now.

Great introduction to the main sites and history of Yangon starting with a passionate introduction to the colonial buildings by my guide, Yan. He had a genuine love for the period and shared the history of many buildings you would probably just walk by.
Of course, we saw some classic sites including Karaweik Palace, Sule Pagoda and, one of the highlights of Yangon, Shwedagon Pagoda.
Yan was an excellent guide. Great stories, good English and a real care to ensure his customers get to have a great experience of Yangon.

Superb tour of Yangoon. Mr. Yan is proud and knowledgeable of his country. We saw all aspects of Myanmar culture and history. We appreciated when he asked what food we wanted to eat. And he brought us into a Burmese restaurant. All good food, good people. The train experienced was adventurous. We highly recommend this safe tour!

Exploring Myanmar's culture and history through his guidance and the adventurous circular train ride seems like a perfect balance of learning and fun.

This was first visit to Myanmar and Yen was my tourist guide for the day to show me the sites of Yangon and to tell me about its fascinating history. It was a great tour covering all of the major sites by car and walking. Yen made it exceptional. He was knowledgeable and professional and his enthusiasm for his country and this city was infectious. Both the tour and Yen, as guide, are highly recommended.
Without doubt the Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the most awe-inspiring places I have ever visited. The circular train was a lot of fun - doesn’t always run, pick a day when it does!

It sounds like you had an incredible experience in Yangon with Yan as your guide! Exploring a city with someone so knowledgeable and passionate truly enhances the journey. Your highlights—visiting the awe-inspiring Shwedagon Pagoda and riding the circular train—capture the essence of Yangon beautifully. The Pagoda, with its golden grandeur and spiritual significance, leaves a lasting impression on many, while the circular train offers a unique glimpse into local life.
Thank you for sharing your recommendation; it will surely help other travelers planning their visit to Myanmar. 😊

We had a wonderful day with Zin Bo Bo. He was extremely knowledgeable & gave us a great sense of the culture during our conversations. He was also very considerate, organising a wheel chair for my husband at the temples.
The local food at lunch was delicious. The highlight was of course the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda.
Highly recommended!

After Pickup in the Lobby we startet a Walking tour (Fresh Market, Townhall, Sule-Pagoda, Ferry-Pier etc). Than our driver took us to the Central-Station (I want to see) but there were trackworks and we should wait 60‘ for the next circilair-train! So we asked the guide to visit other sights in between! So we walked for 15‘ more to the Aung-San-Market (a sight on the itinerary, too) - nice shopping there and we were able to catch the ciculair-Train there, too! To get in local touch - Trainride was amazing! After we had Lunch we wanted to expand the itinerary, because the Tourguide wants us to offer a break for 2-3 hours in our Hotel, but were fit and wanted to see more - so we asked the guide and driver to bring us to the Kandawghy-Park (very nice)! After stopping in a shopping place, we went to the Chaukhtatgyi-Tempel (!!!) and after directly to the Swedagon-Pagoda (!!!!)! Should be visited after 4.30 pm (otherwise floor it‘s to hot walking outside), but we did it at 3 pm (walking on the floor was more than ok)! Thoroughly we are very powerful Sightseers and we walked fast and our visits at the sights should not to be very long! So it was a challenge for the guide, because he often wants to offer us breaks, what we don't wanted and need! So we were a challenge for the guide and perhaps it was not his day! But at the end - we recommending this tour very much!

According to the local agency, they hadn't received the email from Viator with the tour so I called them 8 30 am meeting was schedule at hotel lobby at 8 am and they managed to get the tour ready for us in less than 45 minutes. So we have started a bit later but nothing really to worry about. As one of the attractions is close on Monday, we have been offered to pick another place a la carte so we have changed the schedule and we have visited a couple of other places with the nice guide. Everything was very good, guide was very friendly and knew very well the Yangon area and its attractions.
