You NEED to do this!! It was by far the best day of my trip. I just finished my hiking day with Halil and it was one I will never forget. He knows SO much about the area and obviously loves what he does. He took so many pictures for me and knew everything about the history of the land. I learned so much! He is such a genuine and kind person. And the scenery is second to none! I kept looking around and wondering if it was real! I can’t emphasize enough how happy I am to have had this day with Halil. Trust me, you won’t regret this experience!

Curated hike through the best of Cappadocia with knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide Halil. This tour takes in all of the off the beaten path, churches, pigeonaries, apiaries, and fairy chimneys. Halil is a gem of passion, effervescence and encouragement. Fantastic pacing with coffee, orange juice and wine stops to split up a full day of geologic Joy.
My 77-year-old mother made the hike easily so can you sign up now.

Halil, our guide was incredible. This was my favorite excursion in Greece. Halil led us on a 9 mile hike showing us sites and sharing historical facts we could not have found on our own. We tried fruits that grew in the valley and explored caves in this remote area. Really incredible. We had fresh squeezed juice at a break stop and a picnic in another. If you are worried about the mileage please know there are breaks. After the hike Halil drove us to a wine shop where we all enjoyed a glass of wine and conversation. Halil thank you for a fantastic day!

This was one of the best days on my trip around Türkiye. Halil was fantastic & absolutely great company. We walked at a good pace as I ended up being the only person booked for the day. So i was able to explore many caves with a little help. Halil is very passionate about his region & loves to share it with all who visit. He just kept feeding me the whole time! Perfect lunch break & we celebrated with a glass of wine at his local in Avanos. Thank you to all the reviewers before me, you are the reason I did this. A definite must, but you do need to be able to walk for 8hrs. The best way to explore the amazing valleys of Cappadocia.

We had the most magical day hiking through the valleys of Cappadocia with our guide Halil Erdan. He was amazing! First of all, he was able to change the day of our tour at the last minute when our balloon ride was cancelled due to weather. He picked us up promptly at our hotel to take us to the start of our 15k hike. His knowledge of the area and passion for what he does was evident throughout and we so enjoyed learning about the history of the area and the Turkey of today. We stopped for fresh orange juice along the way. The hiking and scenery were extraordinary! We walked through valleys, clambered over rocks and climbed up into incredible hidden churches within the fairy chimneys. Honestly, we couldn't have done it without him...we would have got lost for sure! If that weren't enough, he prepared a lunch which he carried in his backpack and consisted of various delicious Turkish dishes which we ate under an umbrella at a little cave cafe. What a day! We loved every minute!

Halil is an excellent guide; very informative and helpful. A fabulous way to see the Pugeon, Love and Rose valleys!
I got so much more out of this full day hike, than I did doing the green tour the previous day (which was all day on a bus, with shopping stops along the way).
I would recommend this to anyone with a sense of adventure and a desire to do less touristy things.

This tour was definitely the highlight of my entire trip to Cappadocia. Erdin was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, sharing so much about the culture and history during our hike. Even though it was my first time hiking, I felt completely comfortable and safe with him checking on me regularly to make sure I was doing okay.
I had visited the Open Air Museum the day before, but this hike felt way more authentic without needing to visit the museum. Erdin took me to lots of hidden caves and churches, explaining everything in detail. With his help, I even got to climb up a cave and explore the pigeon coop – it was such a fun experience!
He also prepared a yummy local lunch, and I really enjoyed it as we stopped at a coffee shop in one of the valleys to take a rest.
This is the best thing you can do in Cappadocia. You won’t regret booking this tour with Erdin!

The day hiking with Erdin was great, we were able to explore the different valleys around Göreme and were mostly alone on the way. Erdin is passionate about his region and it feels, he is inexhaustible on the history of Cappadocia as well as on the local flora and fauna. He knows the best passages and the best viewpoints all along the way, which makes it possible to take full eyes. He also knows perfectly all the rock churches to see on the way. The picnic was prepared in a small stand on the course with delicious orange juice and a splendid view. At the end of the hike we shared a glass of wine from a local farm in Avanos with his girlfriend. The day was fantastic from start to finish and helped make my stay in Turkey an unforgettable one.
