Well worth a visit! Stopped on our way to Stratford and served as a brilliant introduction to all the Shakespeare visits which came later. Exceeded my expectations. Gardens replicate the varied plants, veg, herbs and fruit which would have sustained the family at the time. Inside, furniture, utensils, layout and dimensions, all told an authentic story about how they lived. Guides were excellent with a wide knowledge and a genuine interest. We learned such a lot.
The cafe across the road is also very lovely and in a lovely setting serving great coffee.

If you’re a Shakespeare fan this is a must do. Way more informative and interesting than I expected. We started with Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and then on to New Place and the Birthplace. The guides are all friendly and very well informed. You can see that they take their work very seriously and have great respect for Stratford and Shakespeare.

Staff at all sites were really friendly and knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject, we could not get enough of Shakespeare, bought lots of souvenirs for my grand daughter who is currently studying Shakespeare at school.
