    Untouched Paradise. Sea Lions, too!

    Mariana_L, Nov 2025
Absolutely amazing tour observing stunning coastal scenery and lovely walk through native bush. A lot of birds and even up, close and personal encounters with sea lions! Knowledgeable and passionate young guides in tune with the peninsula's Maori and early European tradition and history. This tour includes traversing Foveaux Strait and another short water taxi ride to Oneke. It is absolutely beautiful but take a pill if you're sea sick. The tours requires you to be able to walk some 5km up and down the hills.

    A Tradition-Filled Tour

This was a well planned, enjoyable tour. Our guide Karen was well versed in Maori tradition and customs and her respect for them was evident. She understood the history of the area and it's environs. Her concern for us was proved when we encountered an unhappy sea lion and handled it well. She really seemed happy to be sharing the tour with us

    Oneke Island

Our guide, Sarah, was knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. She incorporated Māori history and culture into the walk.
